This is the kind of stuff we want to see right here. Current roster players will be instrumental in getting recruits, and fans on board, and bought in.

Man that quote is gold. Maybe that’s why Bond didn’t want to talk.

Shouldn't Smitty be getting ready for his playoff game instead of flying to Tuscaloosa to talk to DeBoer?

We cloned him and made him a safety this time.

Seeing Kane Wommack's name tossed around now. That would be a fantastic hire for DC.

Giants requested permission to interview Chargers defensive coordinator Derrick Ansley for their vacant DC job, per source. Ansley called the Chargers’ defense after Brandon Staley’s departure.

from a recruiting standpoint or coaching? I don't know much about him.

Not sure if serious, but in case you are, this quote is from the Devonta Smith who is currently a DB at Alabama. Not the receiver Devonta Smith.

Mine was 1973 Bama vs Virginia Polytechnic Institute (now Virginia Tech) in Denny Stadium. Bama won 77-6 and had four 100-yard rushers. I was 8 and probably went to some before but that’s my earliest memory.

Looks like the Chargers are heavily recruiting Harbaugh to be their next HC. Wouldn’t it really be wise to wait and see if Mich DC is going to be available?

Chargers DC is Derrick Ansley. Has coached here before. Harbaugh may take Minter with him. Ansley would be a good hire.

The chargers defense is pretty bad so…maybe not him. I don’t understand these coaches. I don’t know why we don’t open the checkbook to bring Schumann in as the sole DC. He could get a HC job soon enough, but it seems like it would build his resume to be “the guy” for a bit. Always having a co title makes it look like he needs his hand held.

Have you considered that Schumann doesn't want to come to Alabama?

I don’t recall the weather but it was a night game and I think late October so it could have been. I’m sure we crossed paths at games back in the day even though I was a younger.

Travaris Robinson interviewed with new @AlabamaFTBL coach Kalen DeBoer for several hours Sunday for the defensive coordinator job, but has decided to remain at Georgia, sources tell ESPN.
