New Crimson Tide assistant coach Charles Huff was a finalist for the NIU head coaching job and also turned down an opportunity for a spot on the Notre Dame staff but couldn’t pass up a chance to coach at #Alabama.

SOURCE: #MissState Run Game Coordinator/RB coach Charles Huff has accepted a job on the #Alabama staff, per me and @MattFortuna. He’ll join a rebuilt Crimson Tide group that includes new OC Steve Sarkisian and OL coach Kyle Flood.

Nick Saban doesn't give a shite what the MSM SJW believe.

Right he is bringing in guys he trusts when a guy is available.
I'm down for Huff especially since he has a great track record of recruiting to go with the all universe name of Saquon Barkley on that resume
Maybe Huff can call some plays

He cared enough to give an explanation on an analyst/consultant position to the media

Saquon Barkley was the #13-ranked RB in his class at 5-11/190. He wasn't Leonard Fournette coming out of HS. Barkley's combine #s at the NJ regional as a Senior in HS:
quote:
Barkley’s performance as a 5-11, 190-pound prospect at the New Jersey Nike Football Training Camp in April of 2014 was good enough to secure the Running Back MVP award at the event. There he clocked a 4.66 40, 4.50 shuttle and 36.2-inch vertical. Less than four years later with 43 pounds added to a frame that is now an inch taller, he managed a 4.40 40, 4.24 shuttle and 41-inch vertical.
Barkley obviously deserves credit for his own hard work but some credit goes to his coaching (Charles Huff) as well.
Keilan Robinson, come on down!

NOLA lost in the NFC Championship Game.
Would CNS go after any of their coaches?

Saints didn't lose they wuz robbed by the refs. Two PI's not called killed two of their drives. Those refs should be fired.

The NFL headquarters in Los Angeles made this happen (nevermind the NFL is headquartered in New York).

Tim Watts said two sources have mentioned that VT WR coach Holmon Wiggins may interview for the WR coach opening. He said it does not mean that Lance Taylor isn't still a top candidate. Tim said Saban is being very thorough in searching for and vetting candidates before finalizing hires.

I wonder if Taylor would rather stay in the NFL?

Prolly knows that area well too. Lot of talent there. Saban may want couple contacts there

Wiggins list of WR pupils is actually really impressive. Whether it's Taylor or Wiggins, the WR's will have a very good technician for a coach.

Barkley was known as a gym rat in college. Had no clue he packed on that much weight while he was there.

Both look like good candidates, imo. Things I like about Taylor include: played at Bama, worked for Saban earlier, college and NFL experience, has coached TE, RB and WR, western and national recruiting ties from several years at Stanford.

Can we assume that Taylor would really like another NFL over working the college route again thus the reason this deal hasn't been completed at this time? Or is Nick not completely sold on Taylor as his guy?
The Taylor deal has been out their for several days or longer.
And it appears Butch is going to continue as an off the field member.
