I guess we could have snuck out of there with a loss like LSU

Except for the 3 plays leading up to the field goal attempt.

Yeah. Hopefully, the coaches will see in film study that they blew some playcalls.

hope Boz's info on the guys being back for the IB is correct. I have a hard time seeing us controlling Stidham with the LBs we're playing right now.

would you mind posting what Boz said? We really need those LBs back

All I said was it looks like Miller has a good shot at being there for the IB with Lewis close behind.

The game last night reminded me of the UT game when we needed a blocked FG to win. The game results may be the best thing that has happen to us all season. Maybe things will finally come together. All season something has seemed off with this team maybe now Saban unite this team and get them fired up.

Not even going to say shite about the refs, but I'm rewatching it, and how the frick did they not call offensive pass interference on Jordan Thomas? He clearly pushes Averett, and it's right in front of the official. It was on State's 2nd drive.

Fellas, I love Alabama, but there's something not right with this team. Mainly with the defense. The defensive line lacks pass rushers badly, and the secondary is just flat out awful. I remember it being a staple of Alabama having good run support DBs, and being able to jam guys at the LOS and not get pushed by WRs. Last night, they got destroyed and allowed extra yardage. Watching Tony Brown give up 4 extra yards on 3rd and long was fricking ridiculous. Showed absolutely no heart.

The IB will be a war, but they better start acting like they give a shite on defense or we're in for a '15 type Ole Miss game.

I hate being pessimistic, but there's some things that have been blatantly obvious this year with the defense. Almost the same kind of entitlement that the 2010 team had. Saban said a few weeks ago on Tide 102.9 that Miller could comeback for the IB, but he also said it might be worth just taking a medical RS. Getting Miller back also brings uncertainty, because he wasn't some dominant pass rusher before. He was slated to break out, but we don't know unless he plays. Rather wait for he and Lewis next year.

- They aren't acting entitled, they weakened by injures and beat up.

- Our DL is struggling but if we weren't so badly hit by injuries at LB, we'd have three pass rush and we'd be able to contain running.

- Our DBs have been good. We have always struggled with DBs. However besides the Hootie and Tony Brown who are known liabilities; we are good. MSU got away with a lot.

In short, if we didn't have to rely on Holcombe to stop the run we'd be great right now.

Screw waiting on next year, got to get everyone ready to win this year.

Next year is a rebuilding year for Bama. If you think the D is bad this year, wait until next year. Bama loses almost everyone on defense.

Just curious, does anyone know if CNS has the FLU? At the presser he sounded sick and his eyes were red AF.

Won't be as bad as we make it out to be. The secondary for sure will be a rebuild, but up front, if we can get Payne to come back, we can have a legit front. Lewis, Hall, Mack, Davis, Buggs (if he doesn't go pro), and Miller return. Then throw in a guy like LaBryan Ray, who has had bright spots.

Don't think it's as bad as we think next year.

Aren't Lewis and Hall the same guy?

Mack Wilson looks like a stud. Raekwon looks like a stud. Q. Williams and Ray look like future big time players. Jennings is back and he seems to get better every year. Moses will be good.

The secondary is where we should be concerned.

I know our HC is not going to do this, but it was obvious that we are banged up at LB.
Our opponents realize that Holcome does not play down hill and also is slower to react.
So when you are watching the replay notice how much the uncovered offensive guards double teamed Evans,94
and went thru the uncovered hole.Because we play a 3-4 man on top of the center. Our LB must shoot or fill those holes.

The simple solution was to go more bigger 4-3 with 33 and Evans at LB'er.We decided to stay with our traditional 3-4.
Also hand # 9 seemed to play more than I expected over buggs.we had the ability to play 69 & 94 at tackles.
playing 89,99,92 & buggs & 9 at DE's until 3rd and long.Also subbing a davis,buggs for any pass rusher like a Moses,4,89 .
Yet still with the option of moving a Buggs inside on some 3rd downs. We are weak at inside lb'ers
and choose to stayed in 3-4 far to much last night.!

We should use our D-line depth to make up for it.
To me thats on our coaching staff.
