quote:Yep. Game was lost mainly during the last 3-4 minutes of the 1st half.
That 3rd down call where we threw the ball behind the line toward the end of the 2nd was the turning point. We give up 17 points after that play in like 3 minutes.
Najee runs for 8 on 1st down; 2nd and 2 near midfield with about 3 min left in the 2nd quarter, down 19-13. One thing LSU's defense does very well is defend the wide perimeter. So, it's a no brainer -- feed Najee, use our OL power, mix in some slants, etc. Clock chewing drive to take 20-19 halftime lead. Nope, Sark calls two wide plays right into LSU's strength. So then we punt and 3 minutes later, instead of being up by 20-19 at the half, we end up down by 13-33.
We outscored LSU 28-13 in the 2nd half.

I might be as bothered by the fact that Najee disappeared for two straight possessions in the first half as anything.

I still don't know how after 9 games the D looks so lost at times getting set. To be fair I feel like this was one of there better games organization and signal wise. They still got lit up though. Golding doesn't seem to be the answer.
In our defense, we were playing one of the best 3 offenses in football while leading all of CFB in # of freshman starters. Let's relax a bit.

And if I haven't said it, I hate that pasty white Yankee transfer Macauly Culkin lookalike mother fricker playing QB for those swamp rats.

Defense is just not up to standards. Golfing needs to go.

This defense is the worse since 2007. There isn't two elite players in the entire 15 that play. 24 shite the bed time after time and 33 is the next player that is close to elite. The talent level decline is real on defense. This bunch can't tackle anybody.
7 looked and bad as Savion did vs Clemson. If he is a NFL 1st rounder then may azz is a ice cream machine.

Sark loves to totally forget about his RBs for long periods of time. Lane was the same way. It usually serves as part of Bama's downfall.

Yep. Line up and run it right at them. If you get it down inside the 20 then try for a TD. If not then play for the missed FG as time expires. Either way you're down 6 at the half at worst. The last 4 minutes of the first half cost us the game.

Golding isn't developing our linebackers. Just look at Mack Wilson last season. He regressed but he is starting in the NFL now

I am impressed with him. He is a winner.

Yes, any DC worth his salt would have a juggernaut unit with multiple true freshman starters in the front 7 - and both ILBs.

He's a very good QB and tough as hell. He's the LSU version of Cam Newton

Game is on Sark for the 1st half, see my
previous post.
It’s not on Tua, the only thing on the defense is the tackling but LSU averages 47 ppg.
We score twice in the first half we win, frick sark

How about the rest of the defense?

Golding has done a tremendous job considering the circumstances. Several true freshmen starters in the front seven. A multitude of injuries to deal with.
