I know. I just really don’t like Pete Golding and feels like he is going to waste all the talent we got on defense

would like to see more substitutions early and often working in guys with the starters so it doesn't hinder the entire teams ability to play winning football.
Then continue to be aggressive for four quarters so the team develops a killer mentality. Felt like we were surviving for two quarters.
But, that's not going to happen. This is how Saban has and always will do things. He takes his foot off the gas in the second half, and the team inevitably looks like crap. What can you do but trust his judgement, and assume that's whats best to develop the team, but thats not how I would do it. I would hammer down for 4 FTW.

Do you not read any other comments? 5 out of 6 are negative about our performance tonight

Oh no, I’m not concerned at all. Just saying it wasn’t wholesale changes on offense.
I actually think that this is the offense that Sark is more comfortable with

That was not an ugly win. What Gene Stalings did was win ugly. Go what some replays of 1990s games. Death by field goal.

Our offense was awesome. A perfect mesh of explosive in the air and old school murder ball. Completely balanced and not in a "forced" way.

It was a good win.
We could have left Mac in and won by 30, but we tried to create depth. I don't have an issue with it.

I agree with this. Stallings set football back 25 years. Great man, but shite, things were bad

1st team offense was phenomenal. Not worried at all about those guys.

it wasn't quite that bad but he was one of the last of the real old school coaches in the SEC

A Nick Saban team "backs off" early in the 3rd quarter?
No
I’ve seen plenty of times before. We used to be notorious for taking our foot off the gas when we had a big lead. Particularly in the 2008-2013 timeframe.

Exactly or more. We could have scored on almost every possession. Think about that.

I will say the new strength guys got the whole team looking leaner and faster

Waddle deserves 2 days off and whatever else he wants. The guy is important to us.. prothro with more speed. It’s unbelievable

We have to lead the country in giving up garbage points every year

No one missed kick against us either. Has to be some kind of fricked up record

I think we got what we wanted tonight. We were balanced with our offense and in the red zone, we ran it down their throat. The defense is going to be a work in progress but a lot more pressure tonight on passing downs. Will Anderson is going to be fun.
If Mac stays in the game it was going to get ugly but getting Young and Sanders some reps was smart and I think pays off later on. I wasn't a big fan of the wholesale defensive changes, but I never really am when the opposite head coach just wants to take full advantage of it to the last second.

It used to be a thing at Alabama that we would challenge our backups to preserve a shut out.
Now, that we're handicapped by not having a real Defensive Coordinator, those days are gone for a while.
We'll be ok, though. I look at it like trash talking by Saban. He's telling the world, "Look. I can beat you with me. I can beat you with Kirby. I can beat you with Pruitt. Oh, and I can win even with that retard, too. See him? Yeah, the homeless one. I'm gonna give him a job on my staff and I'll still beat you all."
He's like Happy Gilmore's caddy.
