Our next couple classes better be very good and very deep because right now we aren't even in the same stratosphere as the top 7-8 teams in this league.

Bohannon's supposed to have a good eye for talent, so maybe it will be. Hopefully he's still working on getting a few recruits.

The 2018 class was top 20. 2019 and 2020 will have a chance to improve. Bohannon is bringing in great talent. And keeping a good bit of it after the MLB draft. It’s just going to take time. This league is unforgiving.

Bless Bohannon's heart! He's trying to compete in a monster conference with very little to work with. Next year should tell us a lot.

Yeah, we bitch about what a meat grinder the SECW is in football but in baseball there’s 3 in the top 10, and 6 in the top 25, then there’s everybody’s whipping boy, Bama. That doesn’t include the 2 top 10 teams in the east. So half of the Baseball America top 10 are in the SEC.

SEC football isn't even in the top half of sports the league is dominant in. Hell, I'm not sure it's any better than SEC basketball is at this point. Certainly not as good as baseball, softball, gymnastics.
However, the big difference is you don't have to win the league to reach your goal in these othee sports. We're trying to just get back to the football equivalent of 3-5 in the conference right now - and we don't appear to really be close.
Definitely not giving up on Bo or anything because we all know the hand he was dealt, but it's a bit depressing just getting woodshedded and unable to even sneak out a game every other series vs the better teams.

I just continue to hope his plight can be compared to what Cohen inherited at Mississippi State in 2009. He was 9-21 and 6-24 in conference play the first two years before the talent he was recruiting and developed broke through.

Our approach at the plate was atrocious yesterday. Maybe when the pitcher is throwing it in there 95-96 let’s shorten up the swing a little bit and try to put something in play.

What is up with Wil Freeman. He had a promising start to the year then had a couple bad outings and hasn’t been heard from for a few weeks. Hurt?
Man I wish we would do something different Friday night. Need a spark somewhere. I think we all know the outcome if we continue to go with Sam.
LSU scored 9, 13, and 11 last weekend against UF.
Might as well throw a guy like Medders in game one and see what happens. He’s been good for 40-50 pitches as of late. If he can get through 4 then you have Vainer, Duffey, and Lee for 5-9.
Bringing in a middle relief guy down 5-0 in the 5th is getting old.

11-1 against in-state foes. Got to start somewhere in this rebuild. And midweek losses had long been a thorn.

We don’t have a rotation. Bo is doing the best he can with what he’s got. The guys are trying, but do we really have a pitcher that would be a weekend starter for another SEC team? Ain’t nobody’s fault that’s on the team now. The coaches are trying, the players are trying, they are just outclassed. Now we know how Vandy football feels. Just gotta keep trying and keep recruiting.

I think we can safely say we are basically a really solid mid major team posting an SEC record that would fit what a league champion of the Big South/A-Sun would do if forced to played 30 SEC games.
And that isn't a dig - it just shows where our talent level is.
