5-2 bad guys. going to the 8th. had a chance with two on, two out, but got another K.

lsu starter consistently worked away and then came inside, or trash in the dirt, for the payoff pitch. bama never made an adjustment.
seems as if all of bama’s left-handed hitters pull off an away pitch. it was ooogly today!

5-2 is probably an accuate description of where the two programs are right now. I’m just glad it wasn’t 13-2. We actually out hit them, they just got the hits when it counted.
Decent crowd at the joe today. Hopefully we can pack it tomorrow and figure out a way to win on Sunday.

Continue to do well in paid attendance. Will finish top 20 nationally. I know the fans will really flock to the park when this thing is turned around.

Full houses at Bama baseball games in the 90s were some of the highlights of my childhood years. And enjoyed conveniently “forgetting my ACT card” every game in high school in order to sneak in in the early 2000s. We’re on the right track of getting back there. When we have a competitive team, there is a huge following in Tuscaloosa that can easily make Sewell Thomas look like Dudy Noble on a Friday night.

Get the bases loaded with nobody out and Gentry and Holcombe come through with two God awful at bats for strikeouts. Keith swung at three balls in the dirt and ended up looking over the first base dugout after every swing. It was awful.

LSU threw a guy with a 7.50 ERA and we were unable to take advantage of any of the GIFTS he was throwing up for us early on. We allowed LSU to take control of the game.

We rally in the 9th but Holcombe strikes out with the bases loaded and we lose 5-4.
