Now THIS is how a serious hometown journalist deals with an incompetent coordinator.

Bill Plaschke is a legend. Wish he wrote for the Tuscaloosa News or al.com.

Worth a read.

I’m sure you’d love his takes on the Atlanta Braves during the 2021 NLCS and World Series.

I can’t stand that hack. Sanctimonious prick.

AL.com, and most Alabama news outlets, is under Barn control. So they will write stuff like this if its a barn coach. Look at how they handled this last coaching situation. You could hear the emotional involvement in their writing. But if we get a bad one, they encourage us to keep him.

Dude. Horrible take.

We were blessed with Cecil for a long time. Obviously his passing left a huge void that has yet to be filled. But to think that we’d be better off with this clown in Tuscaloosa is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Cecil is one of the GOATs, I think. Complete professional, humble, kind, and well respected across the industry. I don’t think I ever saw anyone that disliked him.

You guys are missing the forest for the trees. The point is that the sports journalists that cover Alabama football have been way too soft on O'Brien and Golding. THAT's the take here. If you think that's a "horrible take", there's no helping you, "dude".

Cecil was a wordsmith. He could put you at the game. Benny Marshall was a old time writer for the Post Herald. Those two were my all time favorites. Both are missed.
