No they don’t. Their DL last year was. Their DL this year is OK. They’re 12th in the SEC in rushing defense and 8th in ypc allowed.

We can’t keep acting like every team has a great DL. We just can’t run the ball especially if we try to do it traditionally. It’s a bad sign that our leading rusher over the last 2 games combined is our no.1 receiving target

I think our woes are scheme related. and yes some asses need to sit. You could watch the replays time and again and our linemen were too slow to make the blocks they were asked to make. And find some TE 's willing to block and not whiff.

One of the main complaints Coach Grubb had against him in the NFL was a lack of a run game. But it shouldnt be THIS drastic.

It's just frustrating as hell right now with the running game. Running off guard and tackle simply IS NOT WORKING.

We hardly NEVER run outside and that's where Hill can do damage against a LB or DB or Jam with his shifty moves.

Hell, run some RPO with the RB trailing Ty giving us the option to throw, QB keeper, or toss the the RB.

ANYTHING but continuing to try to run up the gut cause we don't have the dawgs at guard for that.

We seem to lack guards and tackles with that focused “mauler” mentality that’s needed to move guys off the line or at least turn them. We’ve always had that one or two guys on the online in the past that had that meaner edge to them ( like Landon Dickerson, etc) that the other linemen feed off of. A lot of it comes down to that kinda mindset, attacking the defense & keeping them on their heels.
Maybe one or two of them will man up and to take on that role.

Play action only is effective if you can run inside. You saw us try that wide PA yesterday and we got strip sacked by the corner blitz because of how slow developing the play was.

Jam hasn’t had a semblance of a running lane in any game so far

Correct, USC is a good pass rushing team, however most teams have been able to run on them.

Just not us

Yep. Hard to get Going when a d lineman has whipped your guard and hits you a yard and a half in The backfield.
