Wh hell. Nobody in Tuscaloosa got a shot of this on their cell phone.

There is already a video on twitter of Saban leaving the football complex under police escort this afternoon.

I read Dabo has a $60 million buyout... and there's a 1.5x multiplier if he leaves for Bama.

If that's legit, might as well stop mentioning him. No way would UA pay $90 million... would be insane. Dabo probably wants the job, but figured Saban had a few more seasons left before it would even be a possibility.

Lanning is $20 million...Sark is $15 million.

I wouldn't put much stock in it. Most of what they're saying is pure denial just based on a refusal to admit that Oregon is a second tier program. I doubt they thought Chip Kelly, Willie Taggart, or Mario Cristobal were leaving either.

I think Alabama could use that 90m of booster money to fund a collective instead of nabbing a coach who doesn’t believe in them.

Yeah, mod or not… nobody’s opinion means jack until the deals are discussed and a decision made

Dabo has a 7.5 million dollar buyout.

This is from Pete Thamel

Buyouts for potential Alabama head coach candidates
Dan Lanning -- $20 million
Kalen DeBoer -- $12 million
Dabo Swinney -- $7.5 million
Mike Norvell -- $4 million

Sark is $15 million

This season was Sarkisian's first successful season as a head coach. Until this year, he had gone 5-7, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6, 8-4, 9-4, 3-2 (fired mid season, team finished 8-6), 5-7, 8-5. Maybe he'll continue winning but the track record is ugly, especially given that everywhere he's been has been one of the best programs in a weak conference.

Forgive me. I know it looks like I’m being negative by spamming Oregon but..

They’re saying that it’s not just the 20 mil buyout. Apparently Phil (Nike) somehow tied in ~30 million in Nike stock to his contract that isn’t vested yet. So the financial side is more complicated than just paying 20 million.

Oregon boards get wild when they know they are likely to lose their coach. He not leaving, Phil Knight wont turn over the protype Jordan 1s if he doesn't stay three years .

Ive been googling his contract and haven't seen that anywhere.

While his buyout is high he's making 7 million a year which is pretty low for college coaches. Kiffin is making 9 million a year for instance, Saban made 11 million a year.

Lanning's around the 20th highest paid college football coach.

I've read both buyout numbers for Dabo...so who knows.

Someone just post a pic of Lanning in Tuscaloosa so I can go to bed.

I wish.

Byrne has been known to tell candidates that if they leak anything they are out of consideration. So Lanning could say he is in Oregon when people ask him even if he's not. He definitely wouldn't confirm he was in Tuscaloosa.

Goodnight. Maybe we'll have a coach when we wake up.
