Gilbert has all the talent in the world. Saban can get him straight, he's pretty much low risk, high reward if he works out. I would give him a chance.

He really needs to get his manhood back. Chris Allen took it from him in 2020 and Gilbert hasn't been the same.

I could be wrong but the issues done seem to be the same. I believe Gilbert’s issues have been being lazy with school not on the field. Billingsly was absolutely useless if he wasn’t running a route where he was the number 1 or 2 option. Saban has a great system for kids that struggle with school. If that’s all it is he can get him fixed.

Gus is trying to rebuild his O-Line play after this season it seems like so I think this move makes sense in a way

good article but not sure I would go after a QB with the young ones we have. It would send the wrong message and we could possible lose a few after spring ball. I know of one we should lose regardless

I think Milroe might be worth a look at big receiver/TE.

He'd make a great slot WR.

Milroe has the perfect size for a receiving tight end. He would give defenses fits.

He's listed at 6'2 212. In what world is that a TE?

Evan Ingram was 6'3", 210 when he got to Ole Miss and turned into a very good tight end.

Jahleel Billingsley is 6'4", 218 right now.

Shannon Sharpe was 6’2” and 228 pounds when he played for the Denver Broncos. He changed the position in the NFL.

Milroe at WR/ TE requires a few IFs, but it might be an option….

IF he can catch the ball
IF he can secure the ball after the catch
IF Coach Saban hires a competent OC who can scheme him open
IF he can run routes and block
IF he can add 10 pounds and not lose a step

He has top shelf speed and twitch as a runner in space. Need to get him mismatches in the open field.

Need to add, IF he can be convinced to make the move, and not transfer. I'd sort of like to see what a new OC could do with him first.

By the way, Ethan White, Florida, 2nd team All SEC OG, is in the portal (or soon to be).
