He should be fine at Hawaii, he can go back to the HS ways of just out athleting most defenses he’ll see.

Oh, I forgot about that

But - I think Hawaii has the resources to be a decent program in the MW, DJ is a really good get for them considering where they were the last 2 years

LINKArik Gilbert is back in the portal. I know he’s a bit of a head case but we could use a stud at TE.

You couldn't be more wrong. The kid can play. The coaching he received at Clemson SUCKED.

Trevor Lawrence and Deshaun Watson say hi.
DJU is a classic case of looks like Tarzan plays like Jane.

They looked just fine with Cade Klubnik running that offense.

Face it. DJU is terrible.

Trevor Lawrence and DJ both regressed at Clemson. That's why I say what I said. Clemson's QB development and offense isn't good.

I agree. I've been telling my friend that's a Clemson fan the same thing.

Not disagreeing but DJ never seemed to progress, much less regress.

DJ was so up and down. He would have a bad game and everyone said replace him. Then he would go 350 yards and 3 Touchdowns. Next week 100 yards and two INT’s. His consistency was a real head scratcher.

He seemed slow, to me. Slow to make decisions with the ball

He had 342 yards, and 439 yards in his first two starts as a freshman, when Lawrence had to sit because he had covid. Then the next season, as the full-time starter, he never went over 300, yards, and only passed over 200 yards 4 times. He only passed over 300 yards once this past season, but had seven >200 yard games.

I'd say that he was better in 2022 than 2021, but both of those seasons were a far cry from what he looked like as a freshman against BC and ND.

Kinda weird that Thomas and Lovett went to UGA. What WR looks at their offense and thinks, "Damn, I want to play in that system!"?

MarShawn Lloyd is still in the portal - he's an absolute steal if somebody gets him

It has been said for a while now on the interwebz, that Gilbert has a lot of personal problems he needs to work out before he ever picks up a football.
