That's so awesome to hear! Watching the national championship in January wasn't fun, but I knew that it'd piss Saban off and we'd be in store for great things this year!

So two third year players and two fourth year players, all of whom should be team leaders, completely blow off a mandatory team function?

That shitty attitude is far more disappointing than any injury we've had so far.

There are many possible reasons they didn't attend - some valid, some invalid, and some horseshite. You don't know which, and shouldn't paint with such a wide brush.

That’s the thing I’ve heard reasons for the miss but, who really knows. All I know is Saban isn’t cutting slack for anyone at all.

I don't like this.

These guys are upperclassmen who've been here.

Hungover "me me me" bullshite lingering from last year

I don't get that read at all. Maybe Boz can shed light on the reasons, but it's just a movie and young men still show their youth from time to time. I'm just happy that Saban had a reason to sharpen his bud nippers on some starters - and do it early rather than late.

If that were true, they wouldn't be suspended.

Stop shitting in every thread just to read your own inane babble.

Looks like the suspended players had to go visit an old folks home. Najee looks like he hates life LINK

Woah, señorita. Is your period bad this month?

Learn to have a proper discussion even if people disagree with you. It's called 'being an adult'.

I very much expect the following to fall on a percentage of deaf ears - some of you want to worry, and will actively seek it out till you find something to worry about, and another group of you are overly judgemental of young adults from your hypocritical pedestals.

The simple truth is that, while pursuing a championship, most Bama fans would gladly take a loss in September or October, assuming it didn't take away any trophy opportunities, as we believe it'd refocus the team and make a championship more likely. We've long talked about the benefits of a loss.

Well, that's exactly what just happened. Some starters - leaders even - made a bad (but super mild) choice and Saban has made a public spectacle of it, leaking the news of their suspensions as well as pics/stories from their visit to the old folks home, or whatever it was. And you can bet your arse Saban will talk to the TV crew for the game and make sure they speak about it at length during the broadcast, as well.

And in so doing, the tone for the season has been dropped like a hammer, and the foot is down for all to see. It's Saban's way or the damn highway, and it doesn't matter who you are.

Personally, I think this slip up and the subsequent public reprimand is just what the doctor ordered. And I couldn't be happier.

But if some of you want to wring your hands over that fact that your entertainment product isn't comprised of robots, be my guest. But I won't be worrying with you.

I think everyone is overreacting and people will are on Saturday that it’s much to do about nothing.

but see, that's the thing about the marathon threads. They are so crowded, and sometimes so busy, you have to check it often during the day or night or you miss stuff.

Same with recruiting. If you miss a day or two, you have to scroll back through a good bit of posts, looking for recruiting content of specific players.

A thread like this, when you log on, gets your attention. The long threads not so much.

if it were one player, I could be on board that, but 4, not so much.

I suppose this will get their attention though. Might have been other disciplinary actions as well.

Its always "nothing" in the regular season, right? Just like Mack Wilson's social media was nothing... just like the first half against the Citadel was nothing. Then you end up with the worst program lost in 20 years and everyone's wondering how it happened.

"Let's not overreact" in the Fall turns into "how did this happen?" in the winter. It always does.

Something in the milk aint clean, but praise God we have a head coach that isn't scared to figure out what it is fix it.

I may be wrong on this particular guess but I think we may have multiple cancers on this team that we don't quite know about. We knew about last year's... but I'm not certain that was the only one.

Here's the rub "but it's just a movie." The players don't really get to decide what is "just a" anything. They need to be committed to everything. I hate to even use the phrase anymore it is so tainted with various Tiger BS, but they need to be "All In."

Especially the group that has been impacted by this. These guys should be the leaders on the team, and if there was any "but it's just a movie" I sure hope they get the message and decide to set good examples for the rest of the team.
