CNN & MSNBC should all burn in hell. They’ve done more damage to this country than anything.

Can we add Fox to that list?

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of CNN and MSNBC.

It’s not because of that one death. That death was just the last straw.

Black Lives Matter and black on black crimes are two separate issues and should never been wrapped up as one.

LOL - That because it doesn't fit your agenda. At what point can we expect black people to begin holding up their end of the social contract? Because I am having a real hard time caring about Black Lives Matter when they apparently don't matter to black people themselves.

That's because they don't give a shite about police murdering Black citizens.

My agenda is to lead by example and be the best father, husband, neighbor, friend and stranger I can be for my community. I wrote this a few weeks back on the politics board...

I’ve been racially profiled by the police, been called racial slurs and been followed by employees in high end stores. Racial discrimination feels terrible; however, we need changes on both sides of the court. We need more structure and leadership in the black community and it starts with the head of the household. My dad grew up in Prichard, Alabama and was raised by a single mother. When I was born he had no clue how to be a father, but he did the best he could and he did a damn good job. Now here I am, a graduate of The University of Alabama. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I can say that the vicious cycle that has plagued my family has been broken and it only took one man. I say all this just to say there’s no excuses, and I just wish every black man can take the initiative and lose the oppressed mindset. We need to fix our community.

Mobtro I think your on to something. You were blessed to be raised in a 2 parent home.
Proven fact most of the kids who decide to take the route of crime & drugs are raised in 1 parent homes.
Missing having daddy around, father/son talks, lead them in the right direction, blister that arse when they misbehave, encourage them when they do right.

I don't think this is fair but only because I have never heard the full argument on how violent crime relates to overall inequities we see in American society. Most black people I know have concerns about the safety and well being of the community they live in and believe that homicide rates are too high in high poverty communities. Most of the programs that I have worked with to assist impoverished youth, who are the primary perpetrators of violent crime, have had their funding cut or been eliminated altogether over the 10 years I have been helping out, many times when we see them making a positive impact. There are around 42 million African Americans in the United States and in 2018 about 6400 homicides attribute to African American perpetrators which is less than 2 tenths of 1% of the population. Even if you expanded it to around 10,000 to include a projected African American portion of homicides that go unsolved it would still be less than 3 tenths of 1% of the overall black population. Overall violent crime in one year is committed by less than 1/2 of a percent of the overall African American population. I'm just not sure how to bring together the policing of 42 million African American people who span a wide variety of communities, regions and socioeconomics vs 200,000 criminals who happen to be of the same race who live in pretty concentrated metropolitan impoverished communities.

The late filmmaker and cinematographer Albert Maysles once said, “Tyranny is the deliberate removal of nuance.”

This is exactly what I see happening at the hands of the Social Justice Warriors. There is no gray. There is no looking at a person's good qualities along with their bad. There is no trying to understand the culture in which those persons lived. There certainly is no consideration of their own faults and short-comings. Everything is a power play of seeking to lift oneself up by pulling someone else down. They seek to tyrannize all others by painting things in black and white dichotomies which capriciously place themselves as holy and righteous victims.

While SOME of you may be cheering as those whom you view as troglodytes are summarily shut down, this very same thing can and WILL happen to you the moment that you aren't willing to fit into the narrow box they have for you. They will eventually turn their guns on you and you will either bend the knee or be destroyed by them. You are not exempt.

We either live free and tolerate those with whom we disagree, or we eventually live as slaves to intolerant masters.

Now police brutality is "supposed". Yet here I have been hearing for years we need to protect ourselves against a possible future police state.

The reality is those of you who hate or have strong bias against black people don't care about the realities of police system needing to be revamped unless it directly affects you.

It's a waste of time even discussing these points because you guys are so blinded by hate you will never see it. The only way you can tolerate you fellow man of a darker hue is if he's scoring TDs or shooting baskeballs.

It's pathetic, sad and shows the true heart of evil in man.

Yet, I'm not the one angry because someone has the audacity to speak it.

All I'm seeing is a bunch of fringes clinging on to hatred from past generations. In the same vein that CNN is horrible the same people will defend FOX and OAN.

I'm not about the hate or the hypocrisy.

I leave that for you guys.

With all the current disrespect, I don't see many 18-21 year olds aspiring to go into law enforcement.
Many in that field have recently taken early retirement or switching to another career option like fireman.

Where's an admin? Need to lock this thread down if it's going to devolve into finger pointing and name calling. Especially when this started over the senseless death of a young child. The politics of the situation aren't very important in the grand scheme of things. Killing innocent people HAS TO STOP! Period!

You are a prime example of the quote from Maysels above. You just deliberately destroyed nuance and careful consideration because you want to force everyone else onto the Procrustean bed of your false either/or position.

I am not forcing anything, that is you guys attempting to force this notion that because someone is black they are lesser than, a problem or a criminal.

I don't even believe in force. Even Jesus Christ didn't force himself on others he wanted people to choose to believe in him.

Then again Jesus would never condone hating your fellow man because they were born with more melanin in their skin and always told us all to first love God and then our neighbor.
