When Indiana loses, it will most certainly be the "they beat themselves" narrative. Would love another shot at Georgia in the finals

My homer bracket on ESPN is Alabama v. Georgia final with Alabama winning.

My dispassionate arm-chair prognosticator bracket is Texas Tech v. Ohio State with Ohio State winning.

I’m not saying politics doesn’t have any part but I really doubt Auburn would be hated this much

Saban utterly dominated the sport for 15 years. Everyone wanted Bama to turn into Nebraska. So this is pissing them off

Georgia has dominated the sport in many ways for the better part of a decade. The media doesn’t hate on them. It’s a progressive swing state in election cycles. Columbus, OH is more progressive than Tuscaloosa. Not saying that all the winning that Saban did doesn’t matter in the debate. It does. But there has always been a stigma around Alabama, the state and university, because of the ugly incidents that occurred during the 1960’s.

This ^^^^^^^. The state of Alabama will ALWAYS have the civil rights era held against them for all eternity. What I find comical is 99% of the media types who feel this way have never stepped foot in Alabama and have zero idea about anything about the state as it is now.

I've met countless people from up North and the west coast who honest to God think we don't have paved roads and in door plumbing.

I got to travel a lot in my job and I absolutely ran into that. Honestly, the worst place I ever encountered such crap was Missouri, you could tell that every time someone looked at me as being from Alabama, they were seeing Gomer Pyle. People in NYC weren’t even close to them as far as snootiness. I guess they forgot they were basically an outlaw border state during the Civil War.

One of the most welcoming places for Southerners is in Washington state, up above Seattle, where we have relatives. People in that area are country folks, only difference is the trees are pointy and they drink as much wine and cider (both outstanding) as they do beer.

Technically, both his names mean dick. Though I haven't heard anyone say Johnson since those Big Johnson t T-shirts

I’ve always found people from western Pennsylvania to be some of the kindest and most genuine people you could meet. Never had any of them have the northern arrogance you often find on other places up north.

Funny, I know a guy from Pittsburgh who lives in Alabama now. He’s always belittling the South and has that Yankee condescending attitude. I guess every place has its bad apples.

I think Amarillo is talking about Western Pennsylvania people who live outside big cities like Pittsburgh, like I’m talking about people who live outside Seattle in Washington.

I've found that pretty much everywhere I've gone outside of the south people are nice and kind for the most part, even NYC. I have never been to the majority of the upper and far midwest states, upper east coast states, Alaska, and Hawaii, but pretty much everywhere else.

Oddly enough, Nashville people have the weirdest, coldest vibe of pretty much any place I've been(actually lived there for about 4 months.) That is just my experience though.

I hope we show up with the same intensity they had in the BCS Mulligan Bowl against LSU, Very seldom do you see Alabama fired up like that. They were that way also in the 1993 Sugar Bowl against Miami. Those teams were not all hype either.

The one thing that does worry me this game is Indiana will, probably, be more displined than Bama and not make mistakes. Maybe the stage is too big and pressure hits in a tight game to them, maybe it don't,we've been battle tested in a few games. They did have the comeback at Penn State. The final drive was impressive, but they are definitely beatable. If our overall talent and depth is healthy and plays to their star level, we'll win.
