Exactly why some of us that understand how much things have changed in college football are worried. We may be screwed, and DeBoer hasn’t won a game in this situation in the SEC yet.

If being a fan of something made me so miserable and more than anything afraid of what MIGHT happen that it had me in a constant state of worry, I might consider no longer being a fan of something.

I am a fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide, a very ardent fan.
My entire being, my life, my sense of self worth, my reason for getting up in the morning is not wrapped up in the Alabama Crimson Tide.
I think there are people in our fan base who couldn’t truthfully speak the second sentence I wrote.

THIS season, we have gone into UGA’s house and taken hedges with us back home. A very frickin hot Vandy team- that beat us last year- showed up and we stepped on their necks as the game went on, exactly how we should have.
Go get the fat out of your ears and listen to what the players and coaches have been saying since FSU. They are learning. They are talented. Zero players went to the portal - they are committed. Let’s see what they can do here on out. This squad is entirely different from last years group from a mindset standpoint. Mindset is everything.

He did exactly that last week against Georgia. Undefeated, on the road, Georgia was coming off of a bye week

DeBoer was undefeated last year after a bye, including on the road. He also was undefeated against Kirby. Lots of us picked us to win that game, and those undefeated streaks remain (check the prediction thread if you need proof).

Defense won us the game, after preparing for Vandy’s O all offseason. Good job by DC and players!
However, the offense had a subpar performance against a bad defense. Only reason SC didn’t score 30 on Vandy was because Seller got hurt. They already had 7 and were driving again in their 2nd possession. Utah St put up 35. VT was up like 14-0 on Vandy IRC. We made a ton of mistakes and should have won by a ton more. Don’t get me started on kicking…anyone have confidence that Talty makes a FG on the road with pressure and screaming fans?

That’s the problem. Mizz was literally the first let down game of the season, and somehow we already have a game we didn’t show up for. We’ll see if they don’t have a let down and are ready for this next one, but this is the first test of the season about being up for a let down game and somehow we already have a letdown loss. DeBoer is 0-2 in these situations regardless of what you say about last year. I hope that trend doesn’t continue in the same way that his winning after the bye and beating Kirby trends have so far this year.
