Hard to be disappointed in a 25 point conference win, but dang that easily could have been a 30-35 point win and really helped the metrics. 25 will still be pretty beneficial

Is it my imagination or does this kind of stuff happen a lot? Not like every single week, but I feel like I have seen a clip of something like this a handful of times each of the last few seasons.

Guess they didn’t have the MSU player who blocked Noah’s last 3pt attempt on the take. That, or he knew it would be a miss and just wanted to up his defensive statistics. Bama fans would vouch for him that Noah’s 3 had no chance.

It does happen a ton. There was a clip on Twitter recently where a game was a complete blowout. The team getting blown out inbounded with like 6 seconds and I mean FULL COURT SPRINTED and layed the ball in to hit the over by the hook.

Watched none of the game.
Apparently we bit the weiny in the second half and scored under 40 points. 7 turnovers between two players out of a total of 12. We had more TO's then made free throws.
Williamson played decent minutes with just zero points. Even a blind score finds an acorn. Why not give him minutes to someone else and just play small.

Played without Load-bearing Philon and beat them by 25. Not going to complain but the goal is always to get better, sure.

Want to respond directly to this one though:
Our problem in 2026 is that we don’t have a true power forward on the roster like Grant Nelson. So we can play “small” without playing REALLY small. Some of our PF types have length but not bulk (Bowen), others are listed 6’9’’ so likely shorter than that in practice.
Nelson was 6’11’’ 230lbs. We could play small with Nelson and give up some presence around the rim but not just get mercilessly bullied like we do when Jemison and Bowen slide down to 5.

I didn't see most of the first half but frankly the last 10 minutes of the game were load management and getting Bethea and Williamson some run.
Williamson only shot 3 3pt shots, seems like a concerted effort to get him feeling his range again. The crazy thing is his shots don't look terrible for a true 5. He just needs to find rhythm and I think he'd knock a few down. If he could just rebound and hit open jumpers at a 30% clip then he'd be a usable piece in the rotation.

Expecting a 30 point halftime lead to balloon into a 50 point win just isn't realistic. You basically need the other team to roll over and quit against the end of your bench. This is especially true for a team like ours that has been the walking wounded all season and has a game of prison yard basketball coming up this weekend.

If we go 2-1 to end season, we’ll likely be a #2 or 3 seed in SEC tourney, double bye and stay away from Fla until the final.
Hope we beat Tennessee - been awhile.

I don't think we beat UT. This would be the one game left on the schedule I expect to lose. UT and UF are 2 SEC teams that have our number.
