Last year the schedule was easy as hell. Tennessee and Auburn were terrible and Bama was down in both of those games in the 2nd half. LSU had the worst defense they have ever had. A&M came down to the last play. Bama also lost 2 first round DBs and the best Safety in CFB.

I think most everyone has been more than patient with Milroe’s development, I think most fans have supported him hoping the light would come on. But it’s pretty damn obvious now what the problem is now.

Playing quarterback is more talent related than intelligence. Alabama was on a much more downward slide the three or four years before Bryant retired than with Saban, but we were headed in that direction. Future successful coaches will have to relate to the new paradigm of college football. Nobody understood the old paradigm better than Nick Saban. He saw how all the parts fit together.
