It doesn't surprise me one bit. The discipline and culture that were instilled all those years under Saban seems to have been washed away in eight months. We've got offensive players grinding and dancing in the end zone after scoring like they're fricking chippendale's, defensive players talking crap after giving up an 8 yd run. Totally embarrassing.

It reminds me of the coin toss at the 09 Sugar Bowl. Our guys started talking trash and threatening the Utah players and Utah proceeded to kick the piss out of them on the field.

All of this has gotten so much attention, I will be extremely disappointed if we don't see a change of behavior this weekend. If our guys didn't get humbled to the point of making a change, then there is a big problem.

The only path forward to remotely getting a semblance of it back under control is to have a mandatory salary cap in place, with contracts for the players, just as the NFL does. That way, all teams will only have a certain amount of money to spend on players each year, and there will be set stipulations for the players, including regarding their conduct on and off the field. However, as is, I have no idea how we can get to that point of order in college athletics again.

It'll never happen. The NCAA or Congress or whoever can put a salary cap on what schools pay players but they can't do anything about the colllectives and boosters paying players whatever they want. Under the guise of NIL they can't tell a player how much he's allowed to make off his Name, Image, and Likeness. The players would immediately sue and would win that court case 100 out of 100 times. So coaches have to walk a razor thin line between trying to maintain discipline vs. players with eligibility remaining hitting the portal because they don't like the coach disciplining them and they know they'll make money just by transferring.

Malachi is a special case because he's a 5th year senior but let's say Ryan Williams does the same thing Moore did Saturday. Do you bench him? Seriously ask yourself what you would do. If you say you have to set an example and bench him then you risk him saying he's gonna sit out the rest of the season and enter the portal. He knows teams would drop absolute bags for him. And now you lost your best player. His best friend Mbakwe probably follows his example and sits and transfer. Now you've lost another 5 star freshman. How long til it snowballs? I don't know what a coach is supposed to do in the situation they're now in.

Said he reached out to Diego via Instagram.

Seems to be ready and brings up things that need to be fixed.

Well, that definitely wasn't written for him or scripted. Not reading from a teleprompter like the US President either.

And yet the dumbass attention whore is ready to fight with former players who actually won championships in order to defend him.

Seems he’s saying guys didn’t act the way Malachi did and she in turn is comparing it to the national championship altercation between Jones and AJ in order to defend Malachi.

She's a racist piece of shite. It's why she limits the replies to her tweets. She tweeted something crazy racist about Tyler Buchner being Asian before he transferred here from Notre Dame.

It’s why I call out her bullshite any chance I get. She talks down to most fans on X and I don’t understand why she has such a superiority complex.

Damien is a very by the book guy, but she's absolutely wild if she thinks former players wouldn't have ripped Malachi apart. Not even remotely similar to AJ arguing with his center up 4 scores in the title game

One of them was two guys getting heated with each other over competition and the other is throwing a bitchfit because he lost. And as far as im aware neither AJ nor Barrett ever tried to justify it

I can’t stand that person. Whoever she is. People like her are the ones helping ruin the sport that we love. Social media is a blessing and a curse.

Absolutely correct. DeBoer has let the players do whatever they want without consequence. The end zone dances need to stop.

You’re correct. To compare any meltdown over the last 20 years to Malachi Saturday is comical. Kicking the ball, refusing to come out. It was the worst and there is not comparing in order to justify.

You act like this is new. Go back and watch Smitty and Metch in 2020 after a TD. They did the Bill and Ted guitar dance. Nobody had any problem with it then.

It's simple. You put principles ahead of winning. If someone pouts and leaves over a little discipline, that's fine. Someone else who wants a college degree can step right up and take their spot. All the buildings, professors, etc., will still be there even if you lose every game 50-0.

That's what coaches would do and fanbases would support IF people really gave a shite about education - which they don't.

This becomes truer everyday. People complain about x not being s good representative of the university, but no we can't discipline him because he'll play football elsewhere.

Good for him. Stood there for 10 minutes and owned it. Hopeful this somehow flips a switch for this defense/this team. We will see.
