Please bless us with the mountain of evidence you have of Ty reading defenses and quickly processing what he's seeing. I'll wait.

No one brings up Ty's hail Mary interception last week.
Wonder why?
And really, it's insulting to think that both Saban and Deboer would be intimidated into not playing the worthy QB by "the locker room".

You talking about the game when Simpson threw the ball behind the second string offensive line? When he moved the ball with ease behind that line? You talking about when Richard Young drop a first down out the backfield? You talking about when he got hit while throwing the ball and they dropped the int? You talking about that game.
How about I fix this up for you Paradox...
Jalen Milroe should've thrown multiple yesterday! One was dropped as well.

It's actually insulting to the other players on the team. Like they're going to sabotage themselves and their future by laying down if a QB switch is made? Yeah, ok. The Ty truthers actually claimed last year that the performance against USF happened because the team wasn't trying with Milroe on the sideline. I guess that's what happened last night too?

It's irrelevant who is playing offensive line because he did the same thing he did last year which kept him from playing.
In the face of pressure he threw the ball up for grabs and got intercepted. He could have ate the sack.

Practice observations...
Insiders say these things not me.
When it comes to Ty Simpson.

Jalen Milroe has done that every year he's played.
You won't me to dig up Texas A&M film.

You can choose to believe me or not. But I was physically at the second scrimmage last year. Ty was awful, and threw multiple picks and consistently threw into traffic when pressured.
Reason why in the fall camp that Longeran was considered the best passer
Either way it's irrelevant when two completely different coaches staff agree that Milroe is the best QB on the roster.

You literally claimed earlier in this thread that Simpson was better throughout practice all spring and summer.

But high functioning QBs don’t need the coach to point out coverages and blitzes. It’s OK to admit that Milroe is still a work in progress.

I've admitted that MULTIPLE times. But this point doesn't jive this year. If the coaches want us in another play, they can simply tell him. This is an indisputable fact. So while, yes, a more advanced QB can do it on his own, that is not an excuse for running a bad play this year. The coaches can now remove that from the QB's hands.

Notice what you said..
You was at the scrimmage LAST YEAR!
Ask any insider about this past off-season.
Not about last year. I've been preaching the same thing since last years ADay game and that was...we will never run a FULL offense with Jalen Milroe as the quarterback.

Yea, I said it.

I've been advocating that people not rush to blame last night on Milroe because I think the problems started at the line of scrimmage. You could've put Patrick Mahomes back there and it would've looked like his terrible Super Bowl v. Tampa Bay's defense at times.
However, I think we've got two games over the next 3 weeks that are the litmus test for the offense. We should see the intended starting OL finally in game 3. If we can only operate off splash plays and struggle to distribute the ball around all zones of the field then I'm going to reevaluate my advocacy for Milroe in 2024.

Milroe has plenty of issues, plenty. But to judge him based on a game where the offensive line played like that is a completely unfair.

The only problem with this idea is that if you snap the ball with less than 15s on the play clock, the the D can just shift the blitz scheme/coverage. I don’t think most teams are going to use the helmet communication in the way you are imagining. You seem willing to admit this a deficiency in JM’s game. Asking him to get better at it is a pretty logical next step.

There is a lot more than one game to judge Milroe on.
Posted on 9/8/24 at 9:40 am to Joka2kold
But it's just his 4th year at Bama.
I just hope he leaves after this year. JMO but I don't look forward to another year of this SOS.

This ^ is all that matters. Everyone with their bias and favorite players for whatever reason, but this is all that matters.
Milroe had 3 maybe 4 completions in the first half last week... Penix in Deboer ideal offense would have more completions than that in one drive. lol
Every time Simpson gets into a game you see a flash of a real QB at some point. A changed release angle, a connection on a hot route, a much better handle on the read option.
If Simpson had been given all the snaps and starts that Milroe has been given the last two seasons we would be in a better place now. Simpson seems like his issues are from inexperience. Milroe issues seems to be between his ears.
Whatever is going on all that matters is Alabama will NEVER run a full DeBoer/Penix style offense with Milroe at QB. Say what you want but that's all that matters. We are handcuffed with Milroe so why not give snaps to somebody that might grow into a real QB ?
Oh, and BTW that dance Milroe did in the end zone last night,... Uh, I truly hope somebody tells him to stick that one on a shelf for the rest of his life. TF was that ?

Bama would have to lose back to back games for Coach to pull him.
