USF made us ONE dimensional just like Texas and Michigan did last season.

The commentators said, I wonder if Alabama can win games passing the ball. Then he went on to say, that's what hindered them last season versus Michigan and Texas.

Yeah, the offensive line wasn't great but there were still plenty of plays where Jalen Milroe failed to hit a wide open receiver.

He's a phenomenal runner but his passing ability is average at best so when we play teams who can stop the run. We become one dimensional like last night.

Milroe still has bad habits.
-Always Looking for the Home Run Play
-No Pocket Awareness
-No Accuracy
-Stares Down Receivers
-Doesn't Go Through Progressions
-Can't Read Defenses

You can go back and watch the game and see for yourself. It wasn't all on Formby! Milroe is part of the problem as well.

Yea, but he scores touchdowns also. And with Ty, I'm concerned we give up the duel threat and get back very little for it.

This conversation would be helped if you guys got real about exactly what we have in Simpson and not build him up into something he isn't.

I didn't mention Ty Simpson at all but haven't Ty scored rushing touchdowns also? Yes, he has.

Some of you look at what Milroe can do with his legs...can y'all please tell me how did that go with Texas & Michigan last season?

They kept eyes on him and forced him to pass the ball.

I'll say this about Simpson. He maybe isn't quite as fast as Milroe but he's not far behind and he's clearly shiftier than Milroe.

A running QB isn't a thing against elite teams. You have to have a pocket passer against elite teams.

You have no football iq if you think Milroe played bad last night. Our offensive coordinator literally was calling four verticals against an all out blitz every passing down. There was no check down to throw to. Some of you should stop posting if you don’t understand what you’re seeing on the field. We didn’t even have two seconds to throw last night.

The offensive coordinator was calling for verticals against an all out blitz.

Who's the quarterback? Milroe right?

I guarantee you he has hot reads...he doesn't know how to use them.

Our tight ends was open. Our receivers was open.

The problem was...Jalen Milroe LOCKED on to Ryan Williams a handful of times and never looked for anybody else.

I agree with most of this. Yes, the O line, particularly Formby, struggled mightily but there were times where Milroe clearly panicked out there. For the record, I don't "hate" Milroe. He seems like a good guy off the field. He works hard in the weight room. He can run like a deer and throws a pretty good deep ball.

HOWEVER, when you look at his career stats, his completion percentage in short to intermediate passes is not good (no, I don't know it off hand, just saw it somewhere). He tends to not have a good touch on those type of passes. The numbers don't lie. He's been a college QB for four years now. I just don't think it's in him to make some dramatic improvement right now or in the rest of the season. He is what he is.

Hopefully, this week Proctor is back, Booker goes back to guard and Pritchett starts the rest of the season. That can at least partially mitigate Milroe's limitations.

It ain't happening this year unless our offensive line bully them all game.

Do you think that's gone to happen? It's possible but I don't know if it's gone happen all game.

The biggest thing that drives me crazy about Milroe is he wastes plays trying to take a shot on a Low percentage throw

Thank you for being real.

I love Milroe. I think the guy is phenomenal but when it's comes to being honest about his play. I'm going to keep it real regardless.

Georgia 2023 would have whooped our a$$ had Bowers and McConkey been healthy.

Preach brother.

He threw a couple of them in double coverage and a few of them should have been picks.

I’ve been a Milroe defender Joka but Last Night…the same stuff that has always gave him trouble got him again.

Deboer won’t switch to Ty this season by I would hope DeBoer would encourage Milroe to enter the portal after the season and we can move on to Ty.

DeBoer should switch to Ty but he would risk losing the locker room. He’s being held hostage in other words. Next year when Ty is the starter is when the offense will look more like what we’ve been accustomed to under DeBoer.

Saban would've had a 7th national title at Alabama if Metchie and Jamo didn't go down to non-contact injuries in 2021...ifs and buts, candy and nuts.

Two different coaching staffs have concluded Milroe is better than any other quarterback on our roster and that includes Ty Simpson. Maybe the dude is a gamer and doesn't out-practice Milroe but that usually isn't the case.

If Milroe ain't it, I'm willing to say the answer at QB is from without not within.

And we would’ve whooped them had Jamo and Metchie not gotten hurt.

Injuries are part of football.

You’re 100% right, I believe that too. Doesn’t change the fact that Milroe isn’t a good QB
