I remember him getting beat by our guys in spring, but they all seemed to give him encouragement.

He may end up one of our best ever. Our OL has improved. I like our center, but he is our weakest link. We need to work on our scheme so he doesn't have to quickly go block his man.

3 things led to it….

1. We started helping in some in pass pro

2. Milroe started getting rid of the ball quicker

3. He has just improved himself naturally with more experience

With a another full offseason in the S&C program to get in even better shape he is going to be really good

Now I’m confused. Landon Dickerson is wrecking NFL defensive linemen right now.

Proctor and Downs came in as blue chip prospects who both made immediate impacts.

We have them for 2 more seasons too.

Downs is special. Some ppl don’t realize how good he really is.

Now it’s time for Keeley to take that next step. Ready to see James Smith, Russaw and Pierce as well.

I was most excited about Russaw in this class. He looks like another Rashan Evans or Reuben Foster type to me. I haven’t heard anything about him. Good, bad? Any word on where the staff wants him? He looks like a middle linebacker that can rush the passer if needed. Ton of potential

4. Milroe has done better in stepping up into the pocket.

He started trusting his inside help, and started pushing rushers wide to the outside. Plus if anyone screws up 77 will be waiting at the tunnel

I get it.

I had daughters middle school dance last night, friends Christmas party (got tanked), woke up at 4:30 for volleyball tournament. I’m not in good shape as we sit here.

This was the hidden issue wrapped up in all the early sacks.

I don’t care if you have peak Chris Samuels, if you continually retreat in the pocket against good speed rushers you’re going to eat sacks all day.

There’s a reason they call it a pocket, you can’t just run backwards and hold the ball for 5+ seconds without getting hit.

I think Proctor ends up an all-American and 1st rd draft pick before he’s done.

It's not a problem that is behind him. He still drifts into the backfield well behind the pocket and pats the ball too long.

He took some sacks in the SECCG (thanks to his OC calling plays that made it all possible) that could have really sunk our battleship.

Milroe is a very unique, exciting, and frustrating QB. I've never seen a QB with so much room between his floor and ceiling from game to game, and almost all of it seems to hinge on whether he is willing to run the ball decisively.

I gotta disagree on that one. For some reason, for a good chunk of the game Milroe didn’t take (or waited too long to look for) the check down when the deeper shots weren’t there.

At least one of the sacks backed us out of FG range, and really messed with the momentum. Being pushed out of FG range by taking a 3rd down sack is one of the bigger "cant happen" rules in football- for good reason.

I completely agree. My disagreement was about the play calls. If there’s an open dump down and the QB doesn’t take it that’s not on the OC.

Proctor seems to be absolutely A OK with a power rush guy and guys who try to make a spin or push move on him. What he really struggled with early on is the smaller quick bendy speed guys and that is a common thing for younger guys and new starters. He has gotten better and learned to trust his footwork and back pedal (It is sort of like an "AHA" moment for most guys realizing they are Bad arse MFers that can step into a guy, knock him off track and trust your other inside OL or RBs to chip etc). It is a product of HS Defenses only throwing limited schemes at guys.

Roberts is really good at Inside G in pass pro and don't see much development so far in run blocking and sad thing about that is he has the body to be a Mauler and again needs to trust his foot work.

McLaughlin has blossomed in run blocking into a Mauler and he has issues obviously with snapping but he has graded out so well each game that you don't take him out. He made the interior OL of UGA look like rag dolls

JMHO.....I know TL;DR
