I got 2 tickets to the game and am taking my 22-year-old son with me. I might make one game per year so we don't know the ins and outs to enjoying the pre-game atmosphere.

I have a few questions that maybe some here would provide some input and suggestions on.

1. We'd like to watch a good bit of the UT-UF 2:30pm CST game. How accessible is the Ferguson center to watch the game? Is this a good place to get something to eat as I don't plan to tailgate with just the two of us.

2. What is the better place to park for a quick exit out of Tuscaloosa (headed down to Dothan area after the game)?

3. Any other suggestions you might have for things to do outside the stadium before the game to make the experience memorable?

1. Watch the games at the Houndstooth prior to the Alabama game. Or one of the breweries.

2. Park in the parking deck downtown. It's free. There's bus service if you don't want to walk.

3. Check out the quad and the Walk of Champions in the two hours prior to the game.

At Central High School on 15th St. or the church behind it. Take 10th Ave after the game, take a left on Greensboro, will take you right to US 82. Take 82 to Centerville, take AL-25 to Calera. Can get on I-65 there.

Or you can just follow 82 to Prattville.

Very, but there may or may not be a table available. People tend to sit there for a few hours.

There's plenty of fast food options there.

About where is this located in relation to the stadium?

Very accessible, but sometimes seating fills up, and there aren't as many televisions as you'd think. Actually, I don't remember any around the food court.
Seems like they're in the seating/study areas. Many of the tailgaters will have the game on, also, and I recommend walking around the quad.

Probably downtown to go that direction. The deck by the intermodal facility is free, and they run shuttles at a minimal cost. Or you can just walk. If you're there, you're really close to Greensboro Avenue, and you can just head out to Highway 82. (There is some other parking between the deck and Greensboro as well.)

Walk of Champions a couple of hours before kickoff. Then the Elephant Stomp, I think they call it, on the steps of the Gorgas Library at the north end of the quad an hour or so before kickoff. It ends with a march to the stadium.

The Bryant Museum is a neat place, if you get to Tuscaloosa in time to go.

Several blocks west of the stadium. Less than a mile, probably.

It's a block or two east of Greensboro Ave.

I think I found it on Google Maps. It is one block east of Greensboro like you mentioned.

Maybe a couple of miles. It's on 22nd avenue. Walk towards University Boulevard from the deck. And then that will take to campus and the stadium.

Instead of the parking garage, which can be not so easy to leave after the game, I park on streets downtown. Depending on when you get there, typically you can park somewhat near that parking garage and catch a ride, or just walk to the stadium as I do.
When leaving, then you need to just take Greensboro Avenue all the way south, cross Skyland Blvd. (road changes to Old Montgomery Hwy) then ultimately merge with US 82 heading East (south).

Where to watch the games during the day, there are a number of bars that will most definitely will be showing the UT-UF game, but in addition, there will ne inumerous numbers of folks tailgating on the quad with TVs watching the same game (or at least have it on) where you can catch good glimpses and keep abreast of the game.

He's right about the deck taking a while to get out. If you park on the streets nearby (be sure it's a legal spot - the city has hard enforcement on gameday) you can still go to the intermodal terminal and buy a ticket for the shuttle if you don't want to walk.

I've never had an issue leaving the deck. Just get there earlier enough to park on the lower levels.

Thanks for the tips...

Parking was free at corner of 14th Street and 14th Avenue in an empty lot. We did get to the stadium 3 hours early so there were plenty of spots.

We found a nice tailgate tent that had the UF-UT game on that let us join them for the game. We left at halftime to watch the Elephant Stomp and enjoyed the band.

We left after the 3rd quarter and got back in Tallahassee at 3:30am. 5-Hour Energy did it's job and we arrived with no problems. Taking 82 to Montgomery was pretty smooth and will be my future route for LSU game.

Again, thanks!

Glad it worked out!

Things are a lot more crowded for LSU. Be sure to get there early.
