re: Bama fans @ UF game.

My son and I were there and it was extremely loud on 3rd and 4th downs. As the play clock got under 10 seconds (nearly every snap) it only got louder. I was on row 2 of the south end zone (next to the tunnel where the Gator players entered and left the field).
Besides the crowd noise, the "I won't back down" Tom Petty song was impressive with most of the crowd singing along and shining their phone lights. As a visiting fan, the "2 bits" thing does nothing for me and the "Orange" "Blue" cheer is just lame with no decent ending. Exiting the stadium when it is 99% still full took forever and the busses leaving was also very slow.
Glad to escape with a win and, overall, had a great experience in HogTown.

I'm looking at 134 Forsyth Street for $24. It is .3 miles away.

Whoo Hoo! My son just informed me that he bought me tickets to the Duke game. We are coming from Tallahassee, Florida.
My last game in Atlanta was for the SEC Championship against Florida a couple of years back in the old stadium. I think we parked in the "gulch".
I, too, am looking at parking options. I don't typically ride public transportation (other than when I visited Europe a couple years back). Is catching (and paying for the MARTA) pretty simple? I want to be able to park, catch the right bus to the stadium and then, more importantly, catch the right bus from the stadium to find where I parked my car. I

UF and UCF would be very interesting. I could see UCF taking the W.
I see UF winning with UCF's QB out.

Thanks. Any ideal parking spots if we want to walk around campus and be within walking distance of restaurants before the game and also not be stuck in horrible traffic getting out of T-Town?
Put this in your GPS: 1325 14th Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401. There is a vacant lot that'll hold only about 20 cars, but it is completely free and a short walk to the stadium IF you get there 3 hours early (which we like to do).

I didn't see all of the FSU vs NC State game but did NC State block any kicks or cause fumbles on kickoffs?
I was at the game (it was hot-- shock  ) and don't recall special teams helping/hurting either team. FSU turned the ball over once (fumble by scrambling 185 lb QB), but only got one TD early in the 2nd quarter. Their remaining scores were 4 Field Goals and a safety.
NCState's success at pressuring the QB was certainly aided by FSU having a true freshman 6'5" 185 QB compared to Francois, who could have beaten Bama with his legs should we not contain. JF's experience was a big difference in the two games.
Our OL just got whooped game 1. We didn't game plan for it well or adjust. Their LBs, DBs and Safeties tackled well against Bama, stalling drives. They didn't against NCState. FSU was rusty, NCState was "mid-season" form.

Tulsa has played:
OKST L59-24
ULL W66-42
TOL L54-51
UNM L16-13
They've got 4 decent backs against the above competition.
NAME CAR YDS AVG LONG TD
D'Angelo Brewer 114 578 5.1 60 5
Shamari Brooks 47 276 5.9 63 (TD) 4
Chad President 34 210 6.2 48 4
Corey Taylor II 34 179 5.3 55 (TD) 4
Comparatively, Bama has some impressive statistics as well against tougher competition.
Jalen Hurts 45 360 8.0 55 (TD) 3
Damien Harris 38 309 8.1 61 (TD) 6
Bo Scarbrough 44 221 5.0 19 3
Najee Harris 30 156 5.2 25 0
Brian Robinson Jr. 5 51 10.2 17 (TD) 1
Ronnie Clark 10 48 4.8 19 0
Josh Jacobs 5 34 6.8 13 0
Tua Tagovailoa 4 22 5.5 22 0

What was their best field position on a play? Did they ever cross the 50?
I think they got close to their own 45, but that was close as they got. When they were that close, their receivers dropped a pass or two that could have got them on Bama's side of the field.

Thanks for the tips...
Parking was free at corner of 14th Street and 14th Avenue in an empty lot. We did get to the stadium 3 hours early so there were plenty of spots.
We found a nice tailgate tent that had the UF-UT game on that let us join them for the game. We left at halftime to watch the Elephant Stomp and enjoyed the band.
We left after the 3rd quarter and got back in Tallahassee at 3:30am. 5-Hour Energy did it's job and we arrived with no problems. Taking 82 to Montgomery was pretty smooth and will be my future route for LSU game.
Again, thanks!

I think I found it on Google Maps. It is one block east of Greensboro like you mentioned.

About where is this located in relation to the stadium?

Did you actually watch the FSU game? That is maybe a 3 or 6 point game without several special teams mistakes by FSU
Is there any possibility that Bama forced FSU to make mistakes?
- Ridley blowing by the DB for TD
- Field Goal block before half
- Punt block by athletic RB
- Keith Gavin having ball stripped out on kick-off return
- RB #34's TD run - breaking tackles in the process
- INT #1 - Great defensive play by LB
- INT #2 - Great defensive play by DB
It's not like FSU gave Bama the game. Bama took the game away.

I got 2 tickets to the game and am taking my 22-year-old son with me. I might make one game per year so we don't know the ins and outs to enjoying the pre-game atmosphere.
I have a few questions that maybe some here would provide some input and suggestions on.
1. We'd like to watch a good bit of the UT-UF 2:30pm CST game. How accessible is the Ferguson center to watch the game? Is this a good place to get something to eat as I don't plan to tailgate with just the two of us.
2. What is the better place to park for a quick exit out of Tuscaloosa (headed down to Dothan area after the game)?
3. Any other suggestions you might have for things to do outside the stadium before the game to make the experience memorable?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bama didn't have one RB tackled for a loss in the FSU game. That is a positive; however, there were also times that getting a surge just didn't happen. Who knows how good FSU's defense is. They are probably top-20 but it is too early to tell.
I'll be at the CSU game this weekend with my son, so I sure hope to see a great game by the entire team.

He didn't turn the ball over so that is always a plus. The safety should have intercepted the ball in the end zone. His running/scrambling ability was fantastic today!

FSU's offense has talent, but many of the play-makers are young. The QB is tough and doesn't get rattled. It is his second year playing so I expect improved play from him (as I do Jalen Hurts). Their OL was serviceable at the end of the season, but still gave up like 34 sacks throughout the season. They lost their best RB of all time and 2 of their better receivers. Their starting RB had only 61 carries all season. Murray and Tate are pretty solid receivers. Bama's defense also is very talented, but they are replacing lots of starters who are playing in the Pros now. I predict they score 17 points against Bama.
Bama returns most of it's skill players (minus OJ Howard and Stewart) and loses a couple OL. I'm thinking that having our running game to the left will be productive. My concerns are the right side of the line running and pass blocking. Derwin James will make plays and either force a fumble or INT at some point in the game. I predict he'll have some open field tackles with Jalen scrambling when the receivers aren't open. I predict Bama's offense scoring 24-27 points. Establishing the run is crucial to take pressure off Jalen.
The big questions are NOTs (non offensive touchdowns) by both teams making the difference in the game.

Losing Kiffin (mentally checking out) and being gone altogether had to impact the offense.
It also didn't help matters that Clemson's offense didn't commit one (1) penalty in 99 plays. :banghead:
Not one hold against one of the best defenses in the nation... the entire night.
