We should know tomorrow if a change is being made. If Milroe is still taking first team snaps we'll know he's still starting.

I will say this...if Ty Simpson, Ty Buchner, Dylan Lonergan, or Eli Holstein isn't better than what I saw last night from the quarterback position then fire everybody involved with their DEVELOPMENT.
This should scare Julian Sayin in other recruits.
Jalen Milroe is literally the fourth string quarterback. I said this after A day...He had a long way to go too even be considered a quarterback in my eyes and it showed last night.
I think Nick Saban chose him due to experience and the simple fact the players love & gravitate towards him more but even Ray Charles can see that he is not an SEC level quarterback.
My naive hope is that Saban stuck with him last night because he's the player's choice and Saban had to show them he couldn't handle it in a game we could afford to lose.
I mean, he's got to make a change at this point. I can't think of any rational scenario in which the lights get switched on like they need to for us to win with 4.

The sad part about is, you’re wrong. He’s not QB4, he’s not QB5, he’s not QB10. His passing is so horrible, he shouldn’t be on the QB depth chart at all. He’s a FB/RB, and I can’t believe Saban started another QB with 0 passing skills because of seniority. Smh
From what I've seen, Sims was miles ahead of 4 and everyone derided him as a TE at QB

Am I wrong for thinking of Milroe doesn’t throw that INT on the 1st drive we easily win this game? Changed the whole attitude of the game IMO

Yeah and if my aunt had nuts she’d be my uncle. Milroe is an awful qb. Great kid. Just can’t read a defense at all. He literally didn’t see a safety in a comeback rout. He has awful tunnel vision.

Or if he doesn't throw the pick in the 4th or if he hits Jase for the wide open TD down the sideline. There were a multitude of things he could have done that have us win. We had the lead going into the 4th and people are acting like we had no chance the whole game.

Yeah there were several golden opportunities that he missed. Even with some of the ones that he completed. I think it was Roydell that he threw a swing pass with green green grass in front of him, but he threw it to his back shoulder instead of leading him which would have been a big gainer, possibly a TD. And there was a play down field on the sidelines that if he had have lead Bond it would have been 6. Instead he had to twist his body around and fell down while catching it.
The shitty thing is that when we took the lead, we should have had some momentum and intensity, especially at home with a raucous crowd, but instead we just completely folded and shite the bed. Just no poise.

If Saban is letting players feelings and choices determine who starts then we have bigger problems than we think..

We have enough of a sample size on Milroe, he is who he is. Extremely turnover prone, ready to run if his first read isn’t there and essentially zero short to intermediate game. Long ball is decent I guess, but Texas sold out for that with two high all game. They didn’t respect a single aspect of our offense last night.
We’re really lucky they didn’t run us out of our own stadium, it could have gotten out of hand quickly if our D didn’t play as well as they did in the first half. They were obviously gassed by the fourth. Our receivers were having to make circus catches all game because JM is incapable of throwing an accurate intermediate pass.

That's a fact.
He's ONE DIMENSIONAL. I don't care who he went and work with this off season...he's not good.
He should've thrown literally bout 3 to 4 interceptions. Milroe and Jeff Sims are neck and neck.

Saban has to have player buy-in. So, players have to have a voice. Of course Saban has the ultimate voice.

Something I think I/we have glazed over is how many snaps Milroe picked up off the ground. That can’t happen at this level. There may have been some potential plays ruined by that.

This is the kind of horseshite thinking and coddling that has ruined college athletics.

More people will point to Proctor because they don't know shite but the center was the worst OL in my opinion.

It's not coddling. Saban has always had a leadership council made of players. Stop being emotional like a woman and use logic if you can.

That's kinda polishing a turd, but yeah McLaughlin ain't it. He's a better center than Dalcourt though, which is the real problem. Like I said in another thread, use the next two weeks to have Booker snap the ball however many times he has to to become comfortable with it and stick Ferguson at LG. Dalcourt will still be out there, but I don't see that changing regardless. I'd much rather have 2/3 of a good interior than 1/3 though.

It had to be half a dozen at least.

The council's job has never been to dictate who plays. It's their job to get the team to buy in on what is needed and keep the team focused on the task at hand. To assume that it's some democracy that everyone must all agree on is not only wrong, but flat out moronic.
To add to this, if the committee is not talking to Milroe and Saban TODAY then they are not doing they're job.
