Same. They have no consistency, and no identity late into the season
This team is an absolute mess. A LOT of changes need to be made, and I don’t know if Saban has the energy or the wherewithal to make those changes.

Whenever we’ve won championships, we’ve had ELITE coordinators (and position coaches). Kirby, Kiffin, Pruitt, Sark, etc.
Our current OC and DC both suck.

Our staff got decimated after last year

You're putting way TOO MUCH weight on beating Ole Miss

This is the big one. There is no one single thing this team does notably well on either side of the ball. We have a couple of individuals who excel in certain areas. But we aren't a great power running team. We aren't a great vertical passing team. We don't gash you with RPOs. We don't have a relentless pass rush. We don't have a no fly zone secondary.

Not a championship team this year but historically we’ve won a lot and come back the next year to win it all

Ole Miss has a good squad, but it's how they beat them. They were clicking on all phases that game, so the talent is there. They just don't have any consistency.

Weird things can happen. In 2017 I truly didn’t think we would win it all. It was the strangest set of events. Lose kind of bad to Auburn, make it to 4 seed. We all think we will lose to Clemson and beat them easily. Struggle big time against UGA only to win in OT.

In 2017 we were a solid team except for Jalen Hurts. Once he was replaced by God-mode Tua, our team took off.

This year is different. Our whole team sucks EXCEPT for our QB, and one guy on defense

Our OL is a steaming pile of dog shite. They are utterly pathetic. End of discussion.

So no, that piece most certainly is not there. Not by any stretch of the imagination.

1=average 2=good 3=great

31 3
92 1
94 1
48 2
10 1
8 1
47 1
28 2 (not sure but anyway)
5 1
9 2 (generous)
13 1
14 1
2 1

How in the hell are we going to be elite when everybody we have but 31 is average or maybe good on defense

What's UGA's best win? UK? Aubie? Both have 3 losses. Clemson is trash they nearly lost to Georgia Tech. Aubie needed refs help to beat Georgia State at home.

UGA's leading sacker, Anderson has 5 sacks. Our Anderson damn near had 5 sacks in one game this year.

Bama has issues but UGA has played a fricking chump schedule of nobodies.

And how did blowing everyone out in 2018 work out for us when Clemson beat us 44-16.

UGA deserves to be #1 but they have not beat a great team yet.

The thing about Georgia is that at some point their offense will put them in a tense situation and we have no idea how their team will respond to it. They've started slow almost all season and if they are forced into early turnovers or if they get down early, it could be a game. I don't know if we're able to do that or not, but they will have a close game this year and potential loss. They remind me of 2009 without the midseason 12-10 Tennessee game

The problem is that Alabama fans will not let themselves believe that the talent and recruiting has dropped off significantly. I feel you, I used to be in the same situation.

Bama doesn't have "the talent". We have between 1-4 difference makers on offense and 1-2 on defense.

Has anyone heard from our supposed lethal tight ends lately? That was the whole rationale during the pre-season, that they were going to be additional WRs on the field.

Has anyone seen an unstoppable UGA-style defense? Because that was a rationale for the defense carrying the offense this year after talent leaving for the NFL. The defense has been a total liability.

People tried to ring the alarm bell around here to lessen the blow, but they were shouted down to oblivion.

The sad thing is that we DO have the talent. We have an embarrassing amount of talent.

Part of the problem is that a lot of that talent is on the bench.

The bigger problem is that our players are REGRESSING every year they get coached by this staff. Remember when Malachi Moore and Christian Harris looked like future first round picks? Remember when Henry To'o To'o was considered a great linebacker last year?

On offense the same thing is occuring. Our Olinemen are getting worse by the game, our TEs are regressing.

And guess what? Saban is saying "All in all, can't complain." meaning, these problems are going unchecked, and will continue.

What would you have him do? Replace the coaches mid-season?

Pretty much what he's saying is at this point you have to dance with the one who brung you. But I'd wager several of these guys are getting replaced once this year is done no matter the end result.

It hasn't. Just look at the 247 Composite Team Rankings. On paper, we are the most talented team in all of college football with 14 5-stars and 60 4-stars. Georgia has a few more 5-stars than we do (19-14) but we absolutely blow them away in 4-star talent (60-47).

Here is a list of CFB's most talented rosters in 2021 and their records:

1. Alabama (8-1)
2. Georgia (9-0)
3. Ohio State (8-1)
4. Clemson (6-3)
5. LSU (4-5)
6. Oklahoma (9-0)
7. Florida (4-5)
8. Texas A&M (7-2)
9. Oregon (8-1)
10. USC (4-5)

We are currently #2 in recruiting for the Class of '22 with just 18 commits. Recruiting hasn't fallen off. The talent is there. The problem this year has been inconsistent execution.

This is a ridiculous statement. The issue is the talent isn’t being developed. And that’s on the staff

At this point I think I'd be happy with a win over Auburn.

Auburn now has nothing to play for except keeping us from Atlanta and any chance from the playoffs. The Iron Bowl is going to be a dog fight and maybe our hardest game to date, especially with AU playing spoiler.
