Line is -17.5 huh?? What idiot came up with this?

The "line" is set for gamblers to try and get half the bets on one team and half on the other. Who the frick would take Bama and 17.5 against any NFL team... except maybe you???

IF this was a real line with actual betting going on, the line would fly to around -40 so fast the computer would freeze up.

No kidding.

Remember how good Knowshon Moreno was in college? He's merely been an average NFL running back. Throw in Peyton Manning, a top 5 offensive line, DeMaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Wes Welker, Montee Ball (who set tons of college football records), Champ Bailey, DRC, Wesley Woodyard, Von Miller, etc, etc... The game would never even be close.

Denver's defensive line would eat Alabama offensive line apart.

If you took the '11 D, '12 AJ and TR, '10 Julio and made a UA team, the Jags would still win by 30.

I wonder what a college All Star team could do with the Jags.

The gap between NFL and college is EXPONENTIALLY greater than the gap between high school and college.

Think about that.

An All-SEC team would still have zero chance against the worst NFL team

I agree 100% with what everyone else says, Alabama would be murdered, no matter who they were playing, I was just posting the article. Real question though I wonder what the spread would be if you took this years all american team, consisting of the best college player at every position, vs. the jags?

The real spread would be around 45.5

assuming both teams put out the effort, bama would lose pretty convincingly. around 35-7 at best.at best. more likely about 49-0.

but perhaps whoever created this line figures the Jags wouldn't give a shite about the game and play quite lackadaisically.

I can't help but laugh at the thought of Jake Holland trying to shed a block from an NFL offensive lineman, or the thought of Jake Holland trying to tackle an NFL running back, or the thought of Jake Holland trying to cover anyone on the offense, etc... I mean, this would just be laughable since he can't do any of it in college.

This again? Really. The JAGS would beat Bama by 50. The line play would be an absolute mauling.
