Just took a peak and holy hell….it’s a massacre. What were they thinking? Might as well have hired Joe Goodman.

Bringing on Talty and Rodak to the Bama site might not have been the best move by 247.

Guys, I have a brilliant idea...let's replace our team of professionals with a couple of hacks who despise the school we are hiring them to cover with every fiber of their beings. How could it possibly backfire?

Seriously, who the frick signed off on that?

Glad I cancelled my 247 sub. No shot I'm staying there with those clowns...but I really don't want to sub to On3 until they fix the site. Mobile use is awful.

On3 is releasing an app next week.

Hopefully it makes their content easier to access. I hate clicking on an article only to have to scroll down once it opens to click on another link to read the contents. It's stupid.

Boosting clicks is a way to increase ad revenue. Yahoo and other news outlets do it ALL of the time

ETA - Drudge Report even refreshes the screen every 30 seconds to boost traffic counts to show each individual visit (even if by refreshing the screen) as a means of boosting the total visit count for ratings and advertising

Rodak just posted the NYT retraction but didn’t offer any kind of remorse for sharing the incorrect story back in March. He’s getting crucified.

I’m guessing his tenure on that site won’t last very long. Phillip Marshall would have a better transition than Rodak at this point.

This is why I can’t understand why anyone would buy a business from Shannon Terry.

Exactly this.

My office was next door to Rivals back in the day. When Shannon’s no-compete with Yahoo! was over, he immediately opened up 247 in the same building, and then he opened a food kiosk in our office complex.
I suppose he needed to make an extra $100-day.

The only way it could have been worse is if they hired Clay Travis!

That was a hell of a lot of fun back around 2010-2011.
