Geez, that's rough!
I've got a buddy (bama alum/huge fan) that lives in Australia, so the 11AM games kickoff at 4AM for him. But at least that's on Sunday morning (for him), not a work morning!

I guess it's always a ratings thing for them. They expect no one to but do anything on a Monday night. However I can get her there would get better numbers on a Saturday night.

I stayed up to watch an Ala/Marquette NCAA tourney game in Amsterdam one night, started at 4am. The sports bar (soccer mostly) put a table for me outside the bar after it closed, opened the curtains, left the game on for me inside and gave me a free pitcher of beer for being a trooper.
The game was then delayed by an hour due to a bomb threat. I almost cried.

I say semi's are at the time you suggested, which would work out to the last Saturday before Christmas, and then have the finals on NYD.
