Considering that was the driver for Bond, I would assume so

NiBlack and Bond both want the NFL, and the best odds for that are Milroe not starting. Given that no one knows where the QB depth chart stands, it’s unsurprising they’re moving out with a new offense

If that’s why, it was kind of dumb for them to allow the portal to close the first time.

I get what people are doing. But if guys are leaving because of the QB, it seems like they would have done it the first time around.

Bond and Niblack were locked in until Saban left. It’s the coach, bottom line.

Bond entered the portal before DeBoer was announced. It's the coach in the sense that Saban's retirement gave Sarkisian a lot of confidence to tamper.

Then why were the players in Milroe’s camp all year?

Yeah, did the players leaving help Milroe "win the locker room?"

So he won it...why are they leaving?

Answer... because QB shouldn't be a popularity contest.

I do not discount the Alabama brand that’s been around for 100 years as much as you do.

There is no wrong answer. Just a difference of opinion. Roll Tide!

Most of the kids on the team did not grow up Alabama fans. Nothing wrong with it. They made a business decision to play for the GOAT.

We should not be surprised they are upset that he retired.

They might have helped him win the room, because the felt he was the best chance of the guys that were in the building at the time. Is he the best guy to help advance their future prospects? Probably not.

You're absolutely right, it shouldn't be a popularity contest. QB situation early this past year was a total mess.
