Tyson will never be a starter unless something crazy happens

I like MJones a lot. He came in with the right mentality. Tweeted something like "me in three years" with a picture of his face photoshopped over GMac when he commited iirc.

From all we can tell, dude has bought into the system and the coaches trust him enough. Even put him in v. LSU for a play when it was still a game.

I'm fully prepared for the Mac Attack next year, but you never know.

Mac will be the man but through no fault of his, it will be an off year for Bama, losing at least 2 games. We become mere mortals next season and everyone will talk about the end of the dynasty. Then they will be shocked into silence when we reload and bitch slap everyone in 2021.

Everyone said the same thing in 2014 when we lost a plethora of players (McCarron, Mosley, Ha-Ha, etc..), and Alabama still made the playoffs. For as long as Saban is the HC, I'm not going to assume there's going to be two losses in regular season.

Hopefully whoever the next starter is gets a spanking on live TV by Saban and rattles off 2 straight titles

In fairness to "everyone", we got the shite beat out of us in the playoffs. We were clearly overmatched.

The defense certainly took a step back, but that game vs Ohio State could have gone a completely different direction had Kiffin committed to giving Henry the ball and not rely heavily on Sims.

OSU was the better team though, and it showed when the game settled down.

I still get pissed thinking about them shanking that punt and instead of feeding Henry to tie it we decide to play action pass the 1st play and it gets picked in the endzone. Still makes me furious

I’m not a fan of Tyson, but the same people bashing him and saying Tyson is the QB of the future are equally as idiotic as those who believe he’ll become the starting QB at any point in time.

Looking at his film, Young looks like the real deal. I felt the same way when I watched Tua’s film. You can just tell this guy is gonna be good

He has the potential to be the second best QB we’ve had. I said POTENTIAL tho.....obviously you don’t know how a kid will perform on the big stage until he gets here

should he be the starter we would lose a few QB's to the transfer portal.

And that's college football today. You're not going to stop it and you can't tiptoe around on eggshells hoping not to hurt someone's feelings and they leave. Today's society wants instant gratification and they will leave to find it. It is what it is. Jalen Hurts is the rare exception to the rule. The best policy now is try to recruit over every starter and if the incumbent doesn't want to fight to keep his job, there's the transfer portal, GTFO.

Would hope Paul Tyson’s ties to program keep him around a while. Always nice to have a 4 or 5 year guy around at the position. Especially with the transfer rate at the position now days.

I disagree. We were as talented as they were. Plus we were up 21-6 early on. Should’ve beat them by 10 points.

And we would’ve suffocated Oregon just like they did.

Bama beats Ohio St if they would have run Henry more, he was shredding that defense.

Instead he let Sims throw it wayyy too much and Sims had 3 turnovers, one of much was returned for a TD.

Jalen Hurts would have had to sit out last year if he'd transferred then. Since he was graduating that semester he would be eligible as a grad transer this season, same as if he transferred, so he got to learn from Enos, graduate, and playing now, same as would have been the case anyway.

In other words, I don't think he was doing it for Alabama. He was doing it for Jalen, and that's fine.
