Yes, I know it’s tackle football and players will get injured but good grief....what’s going on here?
Injuries are part of the game but when it becomes a common routine occurrence something is wrong....there’s just no way you can blame it all on bad luck!
Could it be something simple as shoes, the surface of the field or something else....I don’t think Bama is that cursed...that belongs to the punters and kickers...
What do you guys think?

It’s bad luck. Anyone trying to find some deeper reason is quite literally wasting their time.

I think they lift too much.

They should focus more on cardio than squatting unworldly amounts of weight.

You can't S&C ligaments.

But it's possible their muscles are so big that their ligaments can no longer handle it.

The team needs to take yoga & ballet.

And, I'm not kidding. Seems they need to do more stretching exercises.

This should end the thread.

I don't think that's true. Arm wrestlers for example do a variety of exercises to strengthen ligaments and tendons.

If you train and make gains naturally over a period of time, connective tissues should adapt to the gradual increases in weight.

Maybe there needs to be a greater emphasis placed on recovery and an addition of connective tissue-strengthening exercises as workout accessories.

It's the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon because Bama is the team you follow.

Though, Cochran is the most notable college S&C coach, but that doesn't necessarily mean best. Alabama overpaid for a lot of sizzle when he was out the door to UGA.

You could be right, I'm no doctor - it's just what I've been told.

I read that the bigger muscles and stuff were getting to the point where the tendons could no longer take it. So perhaps it's more of a muscle is outpacing tendons kind of thing?

LSU just lost a safety for the season this past week (Todd Harris). It happens to everyone.

Florida lost a QB. Auburn lost a starting offensive lineman for 6 weeks or more and he was starting because the guy ahead of him was already out injured.

But according to people here, it only happens to Bama.

Bama's entire football program continually evaluates every facet of everything it does looking for ways to improve. No stone is left unturned.

Saban used to make his LSU teams do yoga. Not sure if he still implements it though.
