Alabama has lost at Auburn 3 times in the last 17 years.

Alabama has won 5 in a row and 9 of 11 overall in the series.

[qquote]I fully expect Alabama to “choke” in J-H as per tradition. [/quote]

What baloney, Alabama has lost 3 times at J-H in the last 17 years. Alabama is 13-4 overall during that time.

Auburn is 0-3 vs the SEC in J-H this year: UGA, Mizz, UK.

Alabama is not guaranteed to win but they rarely choke. In fact, they’ve made great clutch plays to win including their previous two trips to J-H. They’ve also boat raced them and had solid wins there.

But they need to go after it like other games this year against better teams like Vandy, UT, and LSU at home and UGA and Mizz on the road. We’ll see - there’s hope.

I know there is a lot of anxiety about this game but, if our team knowing this game is for absolutely everything loses. That’s on them. They should be so primal and determined in this game no one could stop them. The loss to Oklahoma should inspire them not make them fall further. All the pieces are there to assemble a great game for us we just have to execute. We will beat Auburn and win the SEC.

Oklahoma was our ticket to the playoffs. We didn’t punch it so now we go into an offseason of doubt after letting a bad Auburn team knock us out of the playoffs.

Do y’all just copy this from each other and think it’s original? It was a third grade comeback that wasn’t even funny the first time. Have an original thought.

I’ve seen enough iron bowl’s with a bad auburn team, at home, to be greatly concerned. We have no dependable way to gain two yards when we have to have it, a jumpy QB and a #1WR with bad hands. So yeah, I’m not optimistic. I hope I’m completely wrong.

My thoughts exactly. There is no reason to lose to AU but especially this season. The tigers are in disarray, with yet another interim head coach.

I think Bama wins this one but traditionally (at least in the last 20 years), Bama for some weird reason plays really tight and nervous there. I wouldn't say "afraid" but tight. They tend to make boneheaded mistakes that they normally wouldn't do, drop passes they normally catch, etc.

I'm hoping CKD and the staff can maybe get them relax a bit and just go out and play hard and execute.

Add to it the weird stuff that often seems to happen there (not just against us but other teams) such as weird bounces on the ball, freak plays, etc. Then of course, there are other things such as horrible calls or no calls by the refs there. I fully expect us to get fisted by the refs in that game.

At the coin toss, I'd like to see our guys walk out to the 50 yard line and each captain pull out a tube of Chap stick and proceed to take a full 30 seconds to apply it. When the head ref asks 'What are you doing? I hope Ty says, "We like to get kissed before we get screwed."

Which Iron Bowls have you seen a good Bama team lose to a bad Auburn team? That doesn't really ever happen

But that defense was as bad as any defense I can remember on a decent team. Right up there with Sunseri's unit at Tennessee in like 2012 or 2013 under Dooley when they had Bray.

The LSU debacle a couple years back has to be up there as well.

That secondary was absolute garbage particularly in the secondary.

Their run defense was atrocious. Milroe scored eight total touchdowns against them. It was like a hot knife through butter.

Long range forecast indicating it could be in the 30’s. Just lovely.

In that case, it may be a cold day in hell.
