2014 is the only game in Tuscaloosa since the Camback that there was much if any doubt in the 2nd half that we would win the game.
That was a pretty damn good Auburn team. Gus had some really solid football teams from 2013-2019.

Blake Sims almost got pulled due to 3 terrible interceptions in the middle part of the game. Lane Kiffin got back to basics and started letting Cooper just cook DBs deep and it was all great for Blake Sims after that...

That offense was maybe his most explosive in all his years as coach at Auburn. Problem was, their defense was equally bad. Reminded me a lot of the LSU team from two years ago.

They were so bad defensively and so scary offensively.
Coats and Duke Williams out wide just mossing people all over the field. Marshall either throwing a bomb or, if you turned your back, running a 4.4 forty to the end zone.
But that defense was as bad as any defense I can remember on a decent team. Right up there with Sunseri's unit at Tennessee in like 2012 or 2013 under Dooley when they had Bray.

I think that Cooper had close to 300 yards receiving by himself that night.

Mercer is actually a pretty good team. My guess is Auburn is sleeping on them. I’ll bet Mercer gives them a game for awhile.

Exactly. By comparison, Western Illinois is a bad team. Like really bad. Mercer played us hard last season for a while. They actually have some dudes on their roster.

I t was definitely on him. That fumble when MC didn’t even lay a hand on the defender was not in Ty. That was a worse block than what we saw out of our LT his freshman year.

My uncle went hunting with Wesley Britt a few weeks after and Britt told him that they didn't even do team specific install stuff that week. Captains went to Fran to ask him what was going on and Fran said they were just going to do "what they do" or something. No gameplan specific stuff, just basic spring game type stuff.
Will never forgive him.
