I'd prefer a young, up and coming guy

Maybe saban thinks that milroe would be the perfect fit with Dan for a couple of years. He would be a more athletic version of any Qb that Dan has had.

I’m all for it. Mullen is a great in game play caller. He’s had great passing attacks and also great rushing attacks. He loves using tight ends in the vertical game and that’s something we’ve lacked. I guarantee you our short yardage issues will be cured under Mullen. He’s been known to make some questionable calls at crucial times but he’s 1000x better than O’Brien in the college game. All for this move if we wanna win now. He would give Georgia fits with our personnel and his scheme.

Saban has earned the fact that none of you or the talking heads should question his hires.

That said I wouldn't mind Mullen, Kendall Briles, Jeff Lebby, Scott Frost, Graham Harrell or Kliff Kingsbury when he inevitably gets fired.

I would rather have Freeze than Mullen. There's something about Mullen that puts me off. His interactions with players on the sideline idk. I just don't like him.

I think this would be a quality hire. He does a great job of mixing formations, having run diversity, and QB friendly.

Basically where I am at. 2 years and done seems better than stability at this point. Not many coordinators, who are good or can become good, want to go the understudy route while waiting for their dream job to open up like Kirby.

Mullen’s been a dark horse in my mind and I’ve bit my tongue on mentioning it. Only downside was he isn’t a huge recruiter. It just makes too much sense not to expect it, and he already helped us out in 2021 with prepping for Georgia after he was hired.

He’s a good playcaller, would be able to orient the offense towards our strengths and he’s got a solid track record. Also has a ton of experience with Kirby’s scheme.

Also there’s some comments about “failed head coach” and I have to laugh. He went to three NY6 bowls at Florida in four years and has the decade of good performances at MSU. Failed is the not the word I’d use . Certainly shite at PR management as a head coach of Florida though

I definitely wouldn’t hate it. He proved he could change his system and adapt to his players in 2020

That was peak Bama ball IMO. Run was the forefront of the offense and the passing game was still pretty good.

That was due to personnel. D. Henry at RB and Coker was a developing QB who improved by the season’s end.
This talk of Saban’s desire to return to a 2010 offense is pure fantasy of a few fans.

You are absolutely correct. We did not have a good passing attack in 2015.

Our current problem is with inability to put together a good game plan. I would love this hire.

Mullen would be great for our current QBs. If he comes I think Milroe locks up the starting QB position.
I am concerned that Mullen can’t handle Saban chewing his arse out though.
