How badly would LSU fans melt?

Depends on margin and the standing of other teams.

Not with undefeated OU, Clemson, and Ohio State.

I don't think so this year. The only chance is if one of Clemson, Ohio State, or OU lose.

It will have to be a close loss, Auburn will have to be highly ranked if we beat them, and someone will have to lose between Ohio State, Oklahoma, & Clemson.

IMO, I think that’s a pretty tall order and our season comes down to the LSU game.

I don't think they put us in over one loss Ohio State or Oklahoma unless that loss is in the conference championship game. If South Carolina beats Clemson I think we'd get in ahead of them because their conference and schedule are atrocious, and we would have better results against two common opponents.

It would depend on the loss. If they trip up against some average team like both programs are known to do, then I think we'd get the benefit of the doubt. We'd have to make a statement against a highly ranked Auburn on the road so we could hang our hat on something.

Ultimately, I don't think those teams are losing and a loss to LSU will most likely end our playoff hopes. With that said, I'm not very confident about the LSU game right now. It was already going to be a war against a very hungry & confident LSU team. Now we'll probably get a 80% at best Tua. We could still win with that condition but I wouldn't bet on it. Thank God that game is at home.

Of course even though I think LSU & Burrow are really good, they *could* be a little overvalued at the moment. We'll find out more about this LSU team this Saturday when they face a very good AU D.
