No- LSU played in the extra game. If they get blown out they should not go. That said- LSU played and defeated 4 top ten teams this season. We will have the Heisman trophy winner. If there is any credibility in scheduling, LSU deserves to go even they lose a close championship game.

Secondly, by your logic 9-3 Virginia should make the playoffs if they beat Clemson for the ACC title. LSU cannot make the playoffs if they lose to GA. 2-loss Oregon must make the playoffs if they beat Utah. OSU cannot make the playoffs if they lose the Big10 title game.

I guarantee you that nearly every Bama fan on earth would want lsu in the playoffs if we beat you but you still deserved to make it. We want the 4 best teams in. Period. The other name on the jerseys don't mean shite to us.

Big-XII and PAC-12 1-loss champs also played in the extra game. So based on your conference CG criteria, one of them gets in instead of LSU. 5 undefeated or 1-loss conf. champs:
1. B1G champ - OSU
2. ACC champ - Clemson
3. SEC champ - UGA
4-5. Big-XII & PAC12 champs - OU & Utah
Rose Bowl: Oregon vs PSU, Wisc or Minn
Sugar Bowl: LSU vs Baylor, PSU, Wisc or Minn

It's sad that some of you continue to knight for Texas, who is marginally better than Duke. The difference between our schedules is Florida. That's it. It has been reported ad nauseum that this schedule regarding Duke and our East opponents is completely out of Alabama's control. Duke is Chick-fil-a's and Miami's fault, and the East opponents is the SEC's fault. As far as the 3 cupcake games:

We beat your arse for close to a decade with a host of QBs, good and bad. We beat you with a RB playing QB one year (Blake Sims). lsu needed the best QB in your team's history to win by 5 against a team who's defensive injuries amounted to a war-crime.
And Tua's younger brother will likely never play. We're busy bringing in more #1 HS QB recruits. When you guys figure out how to do that, let me know. I'll be on the edge of my seat.

If you don't like facts, that's your choice. The SEC controls the SEC schedule, and the Duke game is a contract between Alabama and the Kickoff Classic, and it was a multiple year contract. Chick-fil-a is the responsible party for finding Alabama's opponent. We had no control over any of our Kickoff Classic opponents over the years. Miami backed out late, and Duke stepped up to the plate.
But again, you do you. Facts obviously don't matter to you.
