The LSU board currently has a stickied thread about the SC game being a night game.

Oof, okay then. Well I’m done posting news and tv schedules on the board.

See y’all in the game thread!

They literally have these exact threads on every teams site including those shitty arse lsu tigers. This is bull crap. I had certain screens set up and got all my information from y’all nice and neat.

I pop in drunk 4-5 times this year. When we had the bama basketball thread I told and linked everyone I know to this board being the best place online for bama basketball info … I was here on and off for a few hours every night. … ?

We’ve tried to voice our opinion about it but that is what he wants to do for now.

Part of the problem is that he tells us all of these things we can’t do but has yet to explain what he is looking for. I would like for him to explain exactly what’s acceptable.

Additionally, I would like to know why other team boards are allowed to have mega-threads for their team’s 2025 season.

I've posted in the Help board, and Chicken has responded. I'm still not sure I understand the rationale or the process behind his actions.

I honestly don't understand the difference between digging through a few dozen pages in a season long recruiting or news thread and digging through a few dozen pages of threads that people have started for every random thought that pops in their heads. Are there actually people who pop in once a week who are interested in finding articles about a game played a month ago or a recruit who committed over the summer? Seems like a solution in search of a problem to me, but whatever.

I wish there was a better board for Bama football. These LSU trolls are ridiculous and offer nothing of value.

As I understand it, having a year-long recruiting or news thread is fine -- it's when the threads span multiple seasons or years that it becomes a problem.

According to an Auburn poster (GoCrazyAuburn), Chicken provided notice a year ago the multi-year mega threads would go away. Did we get the notice and then forget the effective date or something?

We cut them down during that period, too.

This is new.

Thanks, TideSaint. I made the point on the Help board that Texas A&M has a thread that's more than 10 years old on their board.

I honestly don't know what the deal is here. I'm sure you and CrimsonBoz are beyond frustrated.

Makes zero fricking sense. Moronic position.

Thank you. Posting on the help board does get the message out and not just Saint and I rambling on the admin board.

I don’t think it was quite a year ago but he had asked us to cut down on pinned mega threads. We did so. We even restarted some old threads. Etc.

This newest guidance is just that, brand new. We have as the admins haven’t pinned stuff at the bottom etc.

Riddle me this, how can the MSB have an MLB playoff thread but we can’t have weekly opponent threads? Not a team thread, not a daily thread (there were four games today) but an entire postseason thread.

I think a productive way to approach this is we get a decent list of ideas together and we drop it in the admin board to chicken.

I think weekly threads should be allowed.

The rationale given on the help board was dumb as shite. He’s obviously made a successful and lucrative business but this seems to be missing the mark bigly.

Yep. This site is one of the best laid out message boards around and stays really active, but they have let the SEC Rant in particular go completely to shite by letting trolls take it over. If you want that board to be a bunch of Finebaum caller level discourse fine, but leave the team boards the frick alone.
