I think Sark calls a masterful game. Only time I’ve disagreed with him was when he threw it 1st and Goal against Auburn.

This season, folks are getting a heavy dose of Najee in the red zone. It's been a pleasure to watch our OL mauling people once again in close quarters. I get all giddy when we get in our 12 personnel and run it like we mean it.

If Sark wants to be be a HC again he will be one next year, so you might as well go ahead and accept it.

I would hope he would avoid SC and hold out for something better

I don't think he'd go to SC...but I'd keep an eye on Michigan.

That would be very interesting to watch. He could recruit well at Michigan as its a blue blood name. SC is a coaching black hole.

I've been amazed by Sark's adjustments this season. They may have broken the code on being genuinely balanced. An explosive offense that can be proficient at pushing teams around in the running game and controlling clock. That's not what I saw last season.

This guy has an almost identical and impressive pedigree as Kiffin.

If I'm Saban, I lay down the "HCIW" card.

If history is a lesson, the odds are, no one worth a damn is going to want to choose to come in from afar and follow a legend, much less the GOAT.

If we view Sark as a viable replacement to Nick (and, my gosh we should), we need to have that conversation after the SEC title game.

We know he can recruit (what's up, Bryce?). We know he can coach. My lord, the playcalling this year has been wizardry. He's had experience at big, upper-echelon programs as a head coach.

As a Falcons fan watching Koetter mismanage the Falcons offense on a weekly basis, I miss him badly. As an Alabama fan, I don't want him to leave Tuscaloosa anytime soon.

Sark can do a helluva lot better than USCe.

Michigan hasn't been very competitive on-field or in recruiting against high-ranking programs in a long time. UM hasn't fallen as far as Tenn, but they're in similar situations. Both have regressed significantly, due largely to bad HC hires. There are some rumblings Fickel is a top candidate if UM parts ways with Harbaugh.

Sark is doing a great job as our OC.
His record as a HC is very average at 46-35.
5 years at Washington 34-29.
2 years at USC 12-6.
Maybe being older, wiser, more responsible, few years under Saban, he'll succeed next time around.

No offense, but I believe Sark can be patient and do better than South Carolina.

It’s not quite that cut and dry; he took over Washington in 2009. They went 0-12 in 2008. The guy had a HUGE project on his hands there.

He was doing very well rebuilding USC as well when he had his issues and was let go. Remember they were a mess when he took over as well.

IMO, Sarkisian has done a great job - I thought he was a great hire from the beginning. But one reason his O is so balanced is the incredible talent/coaching on the offensive line. Also, Najee and the WRs are exceptional. CSS has done a great job with Mac, who was talented to begin with. Mac, who is more athletic than some think, still needs a good O line to do what he has done.

In summary, Alabama has grade A+ ingredients everywhere on O except for TE, something Sarkisian is not going to have at most places.

That's why ADs and administrators don't need to be prisoners of the moment when hiring coaches away from places like Alabama, or Ohio State, or Clemson, and so forth.

Sark has been a Savant with his ability to adapt the style of play with the talent given and most of all get our offensive identity back to some type of physicality. It feels like with Sark this is more about when great coaching catches up with great talent. On the other hand, I've seen what it can look like when poor coaches catch up with great talent. You got to have great on both sides to win championships.

It’s funny that it seems like the guys from the Offensive side under Saban have been more successful OCs. Kiffin, Napier, Cristobal.

I'm probably in the minority here, but at one time I thought McElwain could be a successful head coach.

I thought he was. Colorado State had their program turned around and churning down the track. He doesn't lose his QB at Florida he turns that pitiful situation around. He was just getting his recruits in for the first time when he was ousted.

Central Michigan, he's undefeated so far. Last season he lost to Miami by less than a TD. Even some Michigan fans have uttered his name as a replacement for Harbaugh. My advice, don't do it, Jim. McElwain is a nervous dude who seems more suited to less limelight. He's a good coach just needs to find his spot and be comfortable and happy.
