Jalen Hurts started 14 games as a Freshman, didn't he?

My post was not a comparison of Tua and Mac, however, the two are not in the same stratosphere from a talent perspective

I agree

It does help to have a guy who is capable of making plays with his arm on a consistent basis - and not be handicapped by deficiencies that require all-world WR to bail him out. Mac ain't that guy.

That is the advantage of having them on the team. I think of many times Julio or Amari bailed out our QB.

I do not think Mac is a top QB but I did not think GMac, Blake, or Jacob was neither, nor did most UA fans.

Which SEC QBs do you think are better than Mac exactly?

Joe Burrow
Terry Wilson & Lynn Bowden
Kyle Trask
Jake Bentley
Kelly Bryant
Kellen Mond
Jarrett Guarantano
Jake Fromm
John Rhys Plumlee

They weren't, but they were better than Mac - and so is Bryce Young.

Not just picking on you because this has been said several times on here, but does this board have Hurts amnesia or something?

This is idiotic.

Nick Saban literally started Jalen Hurts after less than one half of football.... after an off season that was entirely based around Bateman vs Barnett.

Freshmen have every reason to come in and believe they can challenge.

In talent I would agree. Ceiling potential I definitely agree. But at 5'11 180 I would be more concerned with him getting hurt then Tua(if he came back)

God damn. And you want other people to watch the games? I almost stopped reading at Terry Wilson. Then you threw Jake Bentley in there.

Both are more talented than pick six Mac Jones.

I’m sure he will. But it’ll be tough to unseat what we’ve seen from Mac. This is not a Kelly Bryant situation

Why would it be hard to unseat Pick6 Mac?

Because Saban literally had no one else except for the huge bust that was/is Blake Barnett. Now go look at Jalen’s stats against any top defense.

Terry Wilson & Lynn Bowden
Kelly Bryant

John Rhys Plumlee

I‘m not even going to argue with you now. This is beyond stupidity.

There's not a single guy on that list who wouldn't be better given the talent around them that Mac Jones has.

Kelly Bryant literally had similar talent and was notably worse at Clemson

Stats typically matter when deciding how good an athlete is, genius. Fromm, Bryant, and Mond have pretty damn good receivers in their offenses, and they’ve been terrible this year.
