the best player on the team is always the one on the bench not playing....until they enter the game

The amount of cope... it's truly scary how you guys will lie to yourselves, make up things and do anything but face the plain reality looking at you.

I mean from the beginning Ty could never throw deep and he avoids doing it because he knows he's inaccurate. Our OC still found a way to scheme to cover that and when teams finally realized all Ty wants to do is sit in the pocket for 7 seconds and pick his throws in the middle of the field...

Every single defense adapted.

They moved their safeties up
They played man coverage outside
They sent all out and exotic blitzes
Then they cluttered or zoned the middle to trick him

Until Ty can throw a consistent deep ball and get them to back off early... every game will start with us having momentum and our opponents sucking it out as our ability to move the ball dies with our QB.

We have been exposed on offense and good defenses are exploiting it. Our offensive guru's just cannot handle good defenses. I have harped on this before, but I do wonder about the conditioning and getting players ready to play. Bryant said one time after a lose that Don Hutson said his team was not in shape. Georgia is a good team right now, but we should beat Oklahoma. I am not sure about Indiana's defense, but it must be good holding Ohio State to 10, although Ohio State should have won hat is off to Indiana. They are good.

It was not a coincidence that THE Ohio State only scored 10 points with their OC gone and Ryan Day calling plays for the first time in a few years. It will be interesting to see how they perform going forward.

If he was going to ever yank Ty it would have already happened.

I really hope we’re working on packages for Mack over the next couple of weeks.

Unless Ty gets healthy and goes on a run like he did after the FSU loss, we won’t be making it out of Norman alive.

All 3 QBs run the same offense.

DeBoer and Grubb are going to run their offense regardless of who the QB is.

If they cant win more consistently with Keelon next year then they just arent very good.

Aren't many Tua's out there sitting on the bench. He also had an insane amount of playing time that season that no backup usually gets. Like entire halves with the starters in for a lot of them.

Throwing Mack or Russell in there against that defense with how little playing time they've gotten this year sounds like a bad idea.

If Ty still can’t run full speed and be a mobile quarterback again, he needs to sit. Being stationary with the defense calling all out blitzes is a bad combination. If he isn’t injured, why isn’t he running more and why is he less effective when he does (besides being spied a good bit)?

I saw Mack throwing on the sidelines. Sadly I think he was just warming up Ty

Well he is terrified. He also has a bad quirk where he runs backwards instead of stepping up or sideways in the pocket. He has still had success because teams weren't taking away the middle.

Now they have safeties down and they are clogging that middle

If yoi noticed even when Ty had time he didn't know where to go with the ball quickly. Yet we always had someone open.

Sure but our offense right now isn’t a bad idea. It’s a bad reality

If Ty plays the same against OU, what’s the harm in playing the backup? The worst we can expect is a loss which we would likely be heading to if Ty is playing bad.

You kidding Clark? Simpson is going to play the whole game.

With everything else being so bad, it’s hard to pin it all on Ty. Plus I would not expect a guy with few meaningful snaps to come in and be effecctive behind our line with our lack of a run game. No sense in putting Mac out there. It would be a worse disaster.

He ain't getting benched. Devoer was clearly frustrated with him and didn't bench him.

No doubt Ty did not play well but he was under a LOT of pressure /hands in his face all night . Just can’t wrap my head around how bad the OL was. Hope there is a change there in the offseason

Nah. He wasn’t under that much pressure in the 1st half.
