It’s his first year, 6 games in. He failed one test with Vandy. So far, that’s it.
In the new era of CFB, it’s a lot harder to go undefeated, so losses will happen. As long as he’s not dropping 4-5 games a season, he’s probably fine.

I'd like to add people forget Gene Stallings looked kind of rough his first year. Got blown out by Florida that year.

I give him 3-4 years, the wheels are already wobbling, they will fall off soon.
Deboer removed all of the leadership roles, behind the scenes people that were extremely important to the success of the machine, and replaced them with "his people", which have no clue as to what it takes to consistently win at the level Bama has for so long.
The lack of leadership and accountability is showing, and with the touch road ahead, it will be exposed soon.

Can you name those people he has removed?
Jeff Allen is still there and speaks highly of DeBoer. Strength coaches are still there. Ellis Ponder is still around.
Who are the behind the scenes people you would say we are missing?

Agre the we need to fire DeBoer noise in nonsense. I do think he is going to have to evaluate things in the offseason and make adjustments or things could go off the rails for him because this team is very undisciplined. I will say though I didn’t notice a lot ofbtrash talk this past game but maybe I missed it.

That was his second year. Got beat 35-0, then won out to finish 11-1.

Guy has won every where he has been and logic says that should translate to Alabama as well.
Will the fanbase allow it if it doesn't happen in year 1 or 2, most likely not.

Courtney will determine Deboer's success and longevity. Deboer has to get his players. By his players, I mean demeanor and skill quality.
Byrne really has to explain to Deboer that Bama is hated and every team gives Bama their best shot. So there are no easy weeks in the SEC.

Posted this in another thread and I’m going to post it again here:
Things don’t look great right now and that’s disappointing and frustrating. That said, DeBoer deserves his chance to do things his way. Even if we lose 2-3 more games this year (which I think will happen), he should be allowed a chance to implement his system and plan for the program before we choose to kick him to the curb.
Yes, he took over a program that was in good shape and has lots of talent. That doesn’t change that everything is new for everyone involved. It’s new for the coaches, the players, the support staff, the administration, etc.

I stand corrected but the original point is valid, he got off to a bit of rough start with his first year going 7-5.
