Dude why do you keep making threads asking questions that no one can possibly know? Just relax and see what happens.

Fans who are bailing on DeBoer at this point are moronic.

We're 5-1, ranked in the top 10. We have a Saban-esque recruiting class with the top QB in the class.

The sky isn't falling. The worst thing we can do as a fanbase right now is to be overly negative. Things are going pretty well all things considered, and we beat Georgia which very few people thought we could do.

will Bama finish 7-5, 8-4, or 9-3?

Who knows? Most every coach struggles in their first season. Kirby & Sark both went 8-4 their first seasons with rosters comparable to ours. This was never going to be a seamless transition.

Edit: I forgot Sark actually went 5-7 his first year at Texas

30 years. 15 National Championships. Winningest coach in college football history.

OR

3 years. Total disaster.

OR

We could get through one season and see how it goes. It has only been 6 games.

This season just needs to be considered a wash. All those seasons fans branded as rebuilding years under Saban, we finally have to embrace one. Despite the disappointment in how the team has looked this season so far, I still the DeBoer was the best possible known HC option to replace Saban, we just have to ride out a couple seasons and give him a shot.

Absolutely.

I think a lot of people, myself included, thought that due to our talent level, we'd be fine from the jump, but these players were all recruited to fit Saban's system and philosophy - not DeBoer's.

With DeBoer we'd have an entirely different QB room full of studs. We'd have smarter, quicker offensive linemen. We'd have better WRs.

On defense, we'd have smaller, faster LBs and a defensive line with quicker pass rushers.

So yes, while we have talent, we have players whose bodies and skill sets fit an entirely different offensive and defensive scheme.

Consider all of this while also taking into consideration that Saban struggled to win games with this same group a year ago

We're still 5-1 with all our goals still attainable. You're ready to give up on the season?

Are you people serious with this shite? We are 5 and 1 and will likely be favored in the rest of our games. Do yall really think we can't win out? The same exact bullshite was being said last season, but to an even greater degree. So many chicken littles on this board claiming to be "realists."

I think we absolutely can.

I'm just saying if we drop a couple more, we need to give DeBoer a pass. It's a major transition year

Way more likely an outcome than losing out.

That is definitely true. Bama had a lucky streak last year I was convinced it was Saban’s final season when he took a victory lap around Bryant Denny after the Tennessee game. A game Bama probably should’ve lost.

I think people forget that this is a completely new/different offense and defense. Yes, they had Spring and Summer to get accustomed to them but there is a big difference between practicing it and performing in front of 100,000 screaming fans.

Not saying I’m happy with the less than stellar performance the last two weeks but the fact is, there is ALWAYS a bit of learning curve and growing pains. It just is what it is.

I still 100% believe Deboer is the guy and will win a Natty here. He messed up his DC hire and will need to fix that this offseason.

DeBoer is really really good in big games and really really average in games he is the clear favorite, that is something he will have to fix.

Lol what? We absolutely dominated them in the second half. The game was never in doubt late.

DeBoer’s first year and we are already thinking of his successor. Bama fans are unbelievable.
