Nothing. As a fan, I'm done with Griffith. I'm happy
he made it to America and wish him all the best.
Saban should let JK try to place kick. Griffith is
terrible and its a real concern that extra points
will be a struggle. That awesome defense needs SOME help
they can't pitch shutouts every week. Damn Griffith
should quit football. If he wasn't selfish. He would walk away and go pro in something other than football.

Hell. Crazy. I wouldn't waste blow on him.
He would kick the ball over and out
the right side of the stadium.

Maybe he needs glasses. Thick arse coke bottle glasses.

We aren't running a charity. You can't preform your job to reasonable expectations, you get replaced. Sucks.

Here's the deal. We need to let him kick PATs and nothing else. I hate it for the kid, but enough is enough. He clearly just can't kick field goals. I mean wasn't one of the ones he missed from 25 yards out? Sheesh. Didn't even look like a bad angle. I know a lot of you say things like "Well our kickers have never been automatic" but before Cade Foster I really don't remember us missing many field goals. I think it may also be time to look for a new special teams coach. On every SLIGHTLY beneficial return we're getting called for illegal blocks (You can say that's on the players, but if Williams hasn't made it an absolute priority to stress fixing that, there's a problem) and it's old. Let's not forget that Griffith was the #1 kicker coming out of high school. So what happened when he got here? I'm not bold enough to say it's all Bobby Williams' fault, but this isn't the first time we've had this problem.

He has no NFL future anyway. That's just how it is. Unless you are near perfect, you don't have much of a shot. So what's it really hurting to bench him? We try someone else at kicker who can't be any worse and Adam gets to stay on the team.

By the way, guy above me is right. This isn't a charity. It's time to stop worrying about feelings and confidence and do something good for the team. It's probably not good for the offense when they drive down to a reasonable field goal range and he immediately cuts one wide right.

Anyway, just happy we got the win last night. Roll Tide.

Its to the point where the staff has no choice but to keep running the know d out there. They dont have another option. Adam has zero confidence and the staff after tomorrow cant have too much anymore. You miss anything less than 30yds, something has to change.

He's gonna cost us a game eventually.

We could ask him to stop being our kicker. Forever. Nicely though. He is a orphan after all.

You don't have a very good memory. As a freshman, Leigh Tiffin cost us the game against Arkansas in 2006, and that was one of many instances. Bostick missed most every kick, including PATs in 2003. 2000 Orange Bowl, anyone? Honestly, with the exception of Tiffin from 08-09 and Shelley to a lesser extent in 12, Bama hasn't had an automatic kicker since Phillip Doyle.

All that said, Griffith is mentally a mess. There's no distance from which I feel comfortable having him kick it. Fans don't boo him anymore after the bitching out from Saban, and it clearly hasn't helped him mentally. Or maybe it's the back defect or Bobby Williams or whatever else. All that matters is he just keeps missing field goals. At this point, all we can do is wait for him to graduate. We know from experience with Cade that Saban will almost never bench the awful veteran kicker in favor of a potentially better underclassmen.

Griffith is a piece of shite. There is no way you can defend him. He sucks at kicking. He sucks at PATs. He just fricking sucks. Bench his arse. The only reason he's probably playing is because Nick feels sorry that he used to be an orphan.

Oh I'm not saying he shouldn't be replaced. It is kinda unfair to him to keep putting him out there. But people hating him because he has lost his confidence is fricked up.

Someone obviously disagrees that it's wrong to hate a college student because he is bad at his sport. Some of y'all are fricking insane.

Quoted for truth.

One thing I did notice last night was that IIRC he hit everything pretty straight or slightly right. Again IIRC the misses were from the right hash and the makes were from the left and midfield.

At this point, I'd be happy if he could just be consistent with that so at least the staff would know the limitations.

I admit the misses are frustrating, but you are part of the 20% Saban was talking about. Calling somebody a piece of shite because they aren't making enough field goals to your liking is beyond pathetic. The guy seems like a decent kid. He's hitting the ball well most of the time, he just seems to have issues with lining it up. That hardly makes him a POS.

Well, I was speaking more to our kickers under Saban.

Tiffin was okay from 07-09.

Shelley was an incredible kicker.

Foster was... Something else. And got worse with time.

The point is, it was never as bad as it is now. Tiffin never missed more than 9 in a season, Griffith is up to 6 halfway through this season. So I should have said I don't remember us missing this many.
