Which team?
We aren’t great by any means but I’m not seeing a juggernaut on the schedule.

Are you related to Buchner?! Did you see what we saw?! No way he's starting at any d1 or d2 school.

don’t think you’ve ever read a paragraph on Buchner if we’re being honest. He was a five star in his class who missed his senior season because California moved it to spring and he was an early enrollee. Then he was plagued by injuries at Notre Dame and took minimal live snaps. His issue is inexperience and lack of development as a project. You won’t find a scouting report anywhere about him having a weak arm. It’s always been a platform issue where he has inaccuracies. Land grant did a solid write up years ago Give me something better than some weak “but his arm!” straw grabbing response He’s played poorly in live action but it’s not because of a noodle arm
You are basing things on his high school profile. It’s obvious that one of those injuries game him “dead arm.” Every video you can find on him online at Bama and at Notre Dame he throws multiple passes at the WRs feat. He had no deep ball at all. This isn’t 2004. You can’t have a QB who’s deep ball is throw it as far as you can and it only goes 40-45 yards.
Stop simping for him dude. He sucks.

He’s a classic example of a guy who would rather look stupid than admit he was wrong. He’s been beating the Buchner drum for a while and it’s obvious he’s never watched any Buchner tape.

TAMU at their field is the scariest game on the schedule imho. We will make a statement against UcheaT and LSWho at home this year.
This team has greatness in it but it will require the coordinators doing their jobs like the team in 2015 did. We can’t overcome bad play calling like we have in the past. We need lights out from Steele and Tommy to call a true HUNH RPO with lots of deep balls and lots of designed QB runs.

Are you unhappy because Milroe played well? Must not be an Alabama fan

We have a few of those. I choose to believe they are all trolls and not real Bama fans.

There's still legitimate concern to be had, though. If we come out like this against the wrong team, we'll find ourselves down 28 before we know it. Fortunately we did find some things on offense that actually seem to work for us, though.
We should have beaten them by 4 touchdowns.
We left so many points on the board in the first half. That is to say that yes, you are right, we won today, but we still have to get much better in order to win the west.
Milroe is so frustrating because he makes the worst plays possible, but also makes big plays. Basically he is doing just enough.
Our defense is the reason we dominated them.
Either Milroe builds on that second half and starts an arc of improvement, or we are going to continue to have butt clinching games.
I loved what I saw in that second half though.

He had one terrible play today. Do some of you expect him to be 25-25 every game? Every QB has missed passes. He has to stop making bad INTs but his playmaking ability is magical.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see him going through progressions a bit today (on at least some plays).
In the second half, he also started to throw it away instead of taking sacks.

Definitely would love to see this improve but this is a common issue with athletic QBs. Hurts was bad about taking sacks and running out of bounds instead of throwing it away too.

Oh yes, I remember!

Getting worked up quite a bit over this. You can watch the SCAR tape from last seasons bowl and he hits deep throws fine. Again, it’s a consistency with mechanics issue.
And the irony of saying he won’t start D1 or D2 yet he’s started for Brian Kelly and worked his way to preseason #2 under Saban

Dude you just can’t admit you’re wrong can you?

He played better overall today, but this is completely false.
He made multiple drive killing errors, constantly flushed himself out of the pocket when unnecessary, and missed wide open receivers throughout the game.

Tennessee could very well do it. They scored quite a bit on short play drives last year

Excluded middle fallacy.

Idk maybe I am remembering that first half differently than reality, I just thought that there were several plays where he held onto the ball too long and had a lot of lost yards. It seemed like he was still having trouble staying calm in the pocket, and stepping up, and making errant throws.
I'm definitely not down on him, I am proud of how he played in the second half. I guess I just know that we could very easily be even better than what we saw today, and I want to see them reach max potential. I hope that they are starting to gel into what we saw in that second half.

Jalen deserves a lot of credit. He was solid today other than the interception. Still needs a lot of improvement, but he did well today. Very happy for him. Seems like a great kid.
