This isn’t a sunshine post but just food for thought.

There have been two seasons under Saban we’ve gone undefeated. Many seasons we’ve dropped a game and still won it all. It ain’t over yet.

Yes, Golding fricking sucks and deserves to be left on the tarmac. Yes BoB was an awful hire and he sucks, as it stands right now.

But how many years, even last year after the OM game have we thought we were out of the natty chase only to turn it around and go on to win the damn thing.

Hell after the OM game last year I thought the D was unfixable, yet they pulled it together and played admirably the rest of the year.

Coordinators come and go, but the one constant is Saban. I was furious after the 2012 Aggy game, fuming mad after the OM losses of 14-15, utterly distraught after the Barn loss in 17. But more often than not he pulls the team together and they go on to great things.

Do I believe in Golding and BoB? Absolutely not right now. But I believe in the constant that is Saban. Let’s let the season play out before throwing the towel in.

Besides UGA the rest of college football contenders is down. Yes, UT, LSU, Arky and Barn are now considered dog fights. But it kind of takes me back to the beginning of the Saban era, when you knew we were good but nothing was a gimme because of the lingering doubt from the previous regimes. It’s gonna be fun.

I’m only 31, but with every season that goes by I learn to take a loss a little less and look for the good to come out of it. Let’s see what happens. I’m as frustrated as anybody else, but I fully expect for this team to finish strong.

But I also think that Saban should fire Golding and BoB after the season lol

It seems like literally 7 people on earth know this.

Alabama fans and rival trolls seem to have no clue that Alabama loses almost every single year under Saban.

I get the feeling that I’m in the same Camp as you, I just wanted to acknowledge that we also gave up 41 to a team and lost to them before. The same team also lost to Memphis and… Arkansas

The fact that people can’t see this, is amazing.

Buddy this Bama team is bang average. Defense is quite literally bottom tier in the league. The receivers struggle getting open and catching the ball. I feel bad for Bryce. Kid is a natural. The deep ball will come, but I am struggling at how we’re trotting this bunch out at the way we’ve recruited. That Holden, Jones-Bell, Baker class at WR was a major fricking miss.

I blame the defense on golding. There’s 7 or 8 kids in that unit that will play on Sunday for a long time. I don’t doubt CNS but his employment of Golding is really starting to puzzle me. This is a dogshit, unranked aggy team. We couldn’t stop them when it mattered if we’d sold our soul. Same shite that always beats us too. Wide open backs, wide open tight ends. Delayed blitzes that are hours late. We’ve got safeties rushing the line when the QB is getting ready to step up into the pocket

I’m worried that Terrion Arnold and Story are dumb as a hammer if they can’t get a snap over Hellams or Battle. HTT must’ve been promised playing time as a condition of his transfer because he is scared to death to form tackle anyone.

This shite is just hard to watch. If the kid missed the FG and we won in OT it still would’ve been hard to watch. The Aggies have 3 or 4 good players on their defense, a good right end, and a fast tailback, and they just put up 40+ points on us

It was never a secret who was getting the ball. One of the two good players they have on offense. Somehow those kids found themselves all alone most of the night. I expected a loss, but I figured it would come in Atlanta to a good football team, not college station to that band if scrubs that struggled to score on Colorado.

Thanks, but other than the asswhipping of Tennessee, I'd rather not relive 2007.

We all know it, but we also know that those seasons where we did drop one game, the games we dropped were against pretty good teams (all ranked teams). They weren’t losses to teams coming off of back to back losses to Arkansas and Mississippi State.

This Alabama team has issues that I’m not sure they can overcome, unlike those previous teams that bounced back. This team lacks player leadership, has idiots at both coordinator positions, absolutely refuses to tackle fundamentally, has experienced guys who blow their assignments regularly (Christian Harris), has a right tackle who is a turnstile and yet the coaches obviously don’t trust anyone else to play that position, and apparently has trouble staying focused at practice.

This is truly the first time that a loss under
Saban has felt embarrassing. 2007, ULM whatever.
2007 Alabama was exactly what 2021 A&M is now.
This loss is ominous.

Man, I know we take these losses personally because Saban has had the program at such a high level for years but everyone just needs to chill.

aTm was 'only' unranked because of their last two weeks. Before that, they were in the top 10. Like everyone, I was totally stunned at first by the way the aggies played last night. Congrats to them. They played like world beaters.

It was clear, the way they presented the overloaded fronts on defense, this has been 'their' circled game for some time.

So, Jimbo is knighted; he never has to buy another drink in College Station again. Perhaps they can use the win to fill out this trophy...

Because right now, other than bragging rights, this is all they've won.

All, I'm saying is the OP is correct. Bama has been counted out many times, even worse after the loss to Burrow in 2019 where we chased the leader in the west.

This team will have to win out and they are capable of doing so.

RTR forever.
