SC could have easily beaten Miss St with a few bounces. Miss St got a lot of big plays and fortunate timed penalties.
SC O is ok. They do a lot of short stuff. Running game is slightly better than passing game. The QB can run, but threw crucial picks last game. SC D is worse than O. D looks soft and undisciplined.
Bama will probably get some picks/sacks. Bama running should have success, especially in 2nd half. Bama 35 - SC 17

SC will look at the tape and do the same thing FSU did (and same thing they did last year).
Every time we get into zero coverage, Harbor is running a go route and the ball is going to him.

Yeah, if defense does not steadily improve, the rest of the season is gonna suck. We cannot allow better teams to have FSU first halves.

On one hand, I think we underrated FSU O a bit. They weren't a bad unit against SMU either. FSU's defense is just incredibly bad. SMU's litany of FGA misses and turnovers were the only reason that game wasn't something like 41-24.
In some ways, I think it is clear that FSU wants to be a spread option team where Daniels is a bit more of a runner than thrower but they didn't believe they could win doing that against this Alabama D. So that says a lot about how much we've progressed as a run defense. A team that averaged over 200 yards on the ground through 2 games basically had to throw out their whole approach.
The thing we're concerned about is that they didn't execute in one-on-one situations on the perimeter. That's a big deal. However, we've seen Saban defenses have these problems at some point in their conference and/or national title runs. Considering defense has led this team for more of DeBoer's tenure, I'd tend towards thinking these things get fixed eventually. Hopefully without needing to experience a loss due to the problems first.

This. I sincerely hope them taking the L doesn't make anyone think this won't be a dogfight. If anything, a team coming off a loss has it driven into their heads that nothing will make people forget about a loss like beating "Alabama" the next week.
