Sounds like O'neal will get the start. the injuries while not ideal.. All are working through it. Don't expect to see Coleman-WIlliams in uniform this weekend.
What was said? Working but on lunch…

I dont think UGA exposed anything new about our defense.
I tend to agree. Except for Dijon, the D played enough to win. Any offense in this era has to score at least 20 to expect a win.

Is Edmonds a true freshman?
We’ve been getting killed all year on that side…think it’s been part of the reason we’ve been hurt over the middle of the field bc the safety feels the need to cheat over more to help the corner there.

HOME JERSEYS: As announced in August, both teams will don their "home" jerseys in a two-year agreement between both administrations and coaching staffs, bringing back an old tradition in the rivalry.
This will be the first time since Oct. 17, 1970, in Neyland Stadium during Bill Battle's first season that the teams will wear orange and crimson jerseys, respectively. [...]The 2027 meeting in Tuscaloosa will see the Vols wear orange jersey tops for the first time ever in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Defense definitely has to step up.
Maybe addressing the weak link will solve some issues...but the run defense gets gashed too often. UT will pound the ball and play strong defense. We need the run defense to show up.

That's a hands to the face penalty right there that wasn't called.

If you watch any of the gyms breaking down defensive film they'll show you Hubbard (#18) was a pretty big reason outside of Dijon Lee for why UGA broke those plays.
He makes those big plays at times but he gets beat quite a bit in coverage and when he steps wrong they break right through for long runs

Hubbard seems a step slow and doesn't appear to flip his hips easily.
Don't know if he's dinged up or not, but one of the younger guys would likely be better in pass coverage.

Yeah I expect that in coverage but what was disappointing was Kirby and Bobo's gameplan was to attack him which means they see weakness with his run defense.
After seeing the back view if the film #18 is running out of plays and outright missing some tackles.

We must absolutely stop the run. Make them try to beat us passing the ball.
Bench Dijon Lee, start Carmelo O’Neal. I wouldn’t put him out there at all unless it’s a blowout and there’s only 2-3 minutes left. For a backup, trot Chuck McDonald out there rotationally.

One of my favorite hobbies is getting a copy and reading the obituaries of Tennessee alumni news.

Jordan Edmonds suited up on Saturday night. If he's healthy I say throw him out there and see if he can do better than Lee and O'Neal.
Just like with KR… rip the band aid off.. he was slated for playing time it seemed by the coaches so let him get some PT

I’ll be at a horse race on Saturday. Watching from my phone I guess. Just gave a UT fan shite on an escalator in the ATL airport so I’ve done my part.
