What’s the earliest Malachi can come in now?

Per Charlie Potter (BOL) Malachi Moore will still enroll in May instead of Jan. I think I must've counted wrong before. Even without Ford, it appears that Moore enrolling early would put us at 86, one too many.

Probably after the last major all-star game -- the Polynesian Bowl on Sat Jan 18.

Looks like Orgeron is going after Kris Richard, the former Seahawks and Cowboys DB coach first.

Yeah his resume is pretty much all NFL. Be interesting to see how he would do and how long he would stay.

I think any of us in the 30+ contingent can look back on a lot of the stuff we did and choices we made at that age and cringe hard

I’m lucky, not because I didn’t do stuff that is cringe worthy but because I’m not dead, in jail, working a dead-end job, or married to some woman I don’t like because I knocked her up. If I could go back and slap the shite out of myself, I would in a heartbeat.

I don't think he'd stay long but Aranda's tenure at 4 years is a long one at an upper tier program these days. If hired I don't think the expectation is for Richard to stay 4 or more years. I read on the Coaching Changes board that Pete Carroll recommended Richard to O.

He ran the defense but was not officially the DC. Not overly impressed. Seems like the type of guy that would be a good recruiter though.

Bama commit Jayson Jones is taking an OV to Baylor this weekend. It was called off when Matt Rhule left, but it's back on now. He also has an OV set to Oregon the following weekend.

Why is he still committed? Everyone knows he isn't coming to Bama. Hopefully we can replace him with a really solid OL commit some NSD.

Hard to believe you can be a 4star still , be a Bama early commit and only have a blue shirt offer . Must have really fallen off ( I am aware of Parks) . I am like you , seems weird he is still a commit

Tide adds elite 2020 DL target to weekend visitors list (BamaOnLine | segments)
quote:

It's not just official visitors expected on campus this weekend in Tuscaloosa. Four-star prospect and All-American DT  McKinnley Jackson confirms to BOL he'll take an unofficial visit to Bama this weekend after rescheduling his official visit to LSU to Jan. 24-26 (he'll also official to Texas A&M on Jan. 31-Feb 2). This after defensive coordinator Pete Golding and defensive line coach Brian Baker visited with the Magnolia State standout on Friday. . .

“Things don’t change between me and Bama,” Jackson recently told BOL. “It’s like family there. Coach (Brian) Baker, Coach Golding, those are all my guys. They’ll take care of me. They understand what I want in my future, and they’ll try to help me accomplish those goals if I go to Bama.”

“Winning is the standard,” Jackson said. “But it’s not just winning on the field, it’s off the field being disciplined, handling business in school, outside of school, making yourself a better man, a better person, just elements of a human being. Being the best you can be. Not being the best is not acceptable at Bama.” . . .
