You are in this for the "look at me, I'm in the know" element of it. You're no different than the other douchebags over the years who are desperate to be seen as "insiders."
No offense but get over yourself. You seem similar to so many others on Bama forums who want to be regarded as "in the know" regardless of what little you actually know.

Dalvin Tomlinson is always a guy that never gets mentioned in these Alpha discussions. P4P he is the toughest guy to ever strap it up during Sabans tenure at Alabama. And his teammates during that 2015-2016 run respected the shite out of him.

Is it something to do with that they practice against each other 6 days a week?
Championships are won by being able to run the ball, stop the run, and limit giving the other team extra plays.
Have you ever heard that before?
Run the ball - controls the pace of the game to your liking.
Run the ball - reduces the opportunities for big play mistakes.
Run the ball - controls the clock and reduces the number of opportunities for the other team to hit big plays.
Run the ball - give the defense time to make in-game adjustments. Those adjustments in a Saban system have to be communicated and understood by everyone and not just 1 or 2 players.
Stop the run - makes the other team one dimensional and allows you to tailor your attack to the type of play they are required to use when their run game is shut down.
Stop the run - kills big strike plays from play-action passes and limits RPO effectiveness.
Stop the run - creates more 3rd and long vs 3rd and short meaning more punts and fewer field goals or TD
Run the ball and stop the run - allows the defense more rest and fewer total plays to defend
Practice against a run heavy offense makes the defense players more aggressive at the point of attack.
Stop the run defense practice makes the o-line more hardened and ready to blast a short run when you have to have it and give the offense better tools to take the air out of the ball (game) and improved red zone play.

Insider information sauces
In the past I had insider information from 4 different types of sauces. 1st was as a member of the team. 2nd was from players I had a relationship with for a short period after I was no longer a member of the team. 3rd was because of relationships I had with people who were still insiders. 4th was because of a relationship I had with a member of the staff.
All of those sauces/relationships are many years removed and I have rarely had any insider information in many years. However, I can often see from the type of information and how it is delivered what types of sauces are in play.
Most of the information Boz provides appears to come from relationships he has or has cultivated with current or recent past players on the team. Boz being vague in what and how he shares is a good way to protect the connections he appears to have. If you share too much info and in too much details, the sauce will dry up.
I for one, appreciate the information he shares with us. Thank you Boz.

Spread requires passive blocking schemes.
Hard for a D-Line to establish a good "bite" without being challenged in practice consistently.
Go back and look at 2008-2012 game tape and imagine those lines practicing against each other all the time.

I hope we have shored up our coverage of trips formation . We were covering 3 with 2 initially at snap of ball then running someone out to the inside receiver but when they motioned CEH to that side, it was money any time LSU wanted it. DBs were just not physical enough to get off blocks

I remember walking over to an open practice (fan day maybe?? idk) in 2011, and getting a sideline view of some run drills where it was just our D line and LBs against our Online and Trent, iirc.
Anyway, the physicality that was going on was pretty astounding, and seeing it that up close like that, from a behind the play view, really gave me a good idea and appreciation of the meat grinder that was our run D, and run blocking, and Trent. Just absolute big boy football.

I see MSU tried the same play as LSU and we did cover it better on that one
